Since 1999, Low Carb Eating has been providing Low Carb Diet recipes, information, support and community. We were here before the Low Carb hype, and we will be here long after it's gone, because for many people, low carb diets work! If you're new to low carbing, let us give you a quick tour of the low carb diet world!

The basic premise of all low carb plans is simple: EATING FAT does NOT make us fat! Instead, an over-abundance of processed carbohydrates (the normal American diet) causes us to become obese and to suffer from obesity-related diseases. While plans differ in the amount and type of carbs "allowed" - from as low as 20g per day in the "Induction Phase" of the Atkins Diet to quite a bit more but only from very whole grain, low glycemic carbs in the SugarBusters Diet, keeping the amount of carbohydrates eaten lower than average is the cornerstone of low carbing.

Can YOU do this? Many, many folks are finding that low carb eating is a lot easier than they ever thought it could be... once you get past the initial week or so, your appetite decreases, your energy increases, and - well, the weight comes off! Can we guarantee a low carb lifestlye will work for you? Nope. But we can guarantee that others have done it - and that we'll be here to support you if you and your doctor decide that a low carb diet might be for you!
