I'm in my mid 50s, mother of 3, grandmother/step-grandmother to 5, step-great-grandmother to 4 and 2 more on the way, married to a wonderful fella since 1969. Originally from NE Ohio, but have lived in Central Texas since 1979.
I've done low carb before, (2 times), and this time is for the longest stretch, because now it's for the rest of my life. I've lost in the neighborhood of 90 to 95 lbs, still have about 100+ to go, I measure my losses in ounces, not lbs, it's that slow now, but the health improvements have been absolutely phenomenal - especially the improvement of my arthritic knees. I've gone from agonizing pain every day, all day, to only occasional major flare-ups, and minor pain each day. And now I take pain meds rarely, instead of every day.
Low carb is fantastic!
