Low Carb Diet Recipe: Induction Hamburger Bun

Description

This makes a wonderful hamburger bun, it tastes like a whole wheat bun. It’s very sturdy and holds up well with all the juiciness of a hamburger with all the fixings

Ingredients

  • 2 T Melted Butter
  • 1/2 ds Salt
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 t Baking Powder
  • 4 T Flax Meal

Instructions

Mix together and put in a the microwave and nuke for 1 minute or until center is set. Leave it in the bowl for another minute then turn it out on a cooling rack and let it cool.

Once it has cooled take a long bread knife and slice the bun in half and make your hamburger as usual.

Notes

I used a “grab-it” microwave bowl. It’s just the right size to make a large hamburger bun.

Carb wise this should be induction legal, I just don’t know if flaxseed meal is allowed on induction.

    Yummy!

I just tried this and it was very quick, easy and tasty! It made a good tasting bun for a hamburger and a nice way to get some fiber in too!
