Great tasting cake. Can be used in any recipe that calls for Pound Cake. Freezes well. Great for BBq’s and Picnics.
This is very much like a pound cake and can be used as one for recipes.This recipe has been around a very long time and i have no idea who the originator of this recipe is…. but i can not take credit for it.<b>Almond Cake</b>
- 2 sticks butter (softened)
- 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1 cup Splenda
- 5 whole eggs
- 2 cups ground almonds
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp lemon extract
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
Cream butter, cream cheese and splenda well, add eggs, beating one at a time. Mix almond flour with baking powder and add to egg mixture. Add extracts. Pour into greased 9 inch round cake pan (I also used parchment, because I hate for cakes to stick).Bake in pre heated 350 degree oven for 50 to 55 min.<i>According to Life Form, the total carbs are 96 grams, 38 from fiber and 20 from sugars</i><b>Nutritional Values per 12 servings</b><i>1 slice (85g by weight)</i>364 cals34.4g fat (13 saturated)8g carbs, 3 fiber, 1 sugar9g proteinGreat served with fresh berries and whipped cream
