Description

When I got my Magic Bullet, I discovered the Joy of Smoothies. This is one of my favorite concoctions.

Ingredients

  • 1⁄2 c calorie countdown milk
  • 1⁄2 c oikos plain greek yogurt
  • 1 ds fiberfit
  • 5 drp Stevia Liquid
  • 1⁄2 c frozen peaches
  • 1 T heavy cream
  • 5 ice cubes

Instructions

Add all the ingredients in your Magic Bullet. I put ice cubes in next to last and Peaches in last, because this order seems to help distribute and chop up the ice most efficiently when you're using moderately large cubes. Blend it until it runs smoothly and you can see all the fruit has been distributed throughout your smoothie.

You can really toss in whatever frozen fruit you like with this, or even fresh. (The more fresh fruit you use, the thinner your smoothie is, of course.) For many fruits, it takes a small amount to significantly impact the flavor.

Notes

The Oikos Yogurt is considerably lower in carb than most plain yogurts @ 4.5 carbs for the 1/2 cup called for, and Greek yogurt is delightfully creamy, so it's a great choice if you can find it. If you use regular yogurt, I'd lower the amount used adjust the carb count accordingly.

A scoop of protein powder added in makes this especially filling.
