Description
A yummy guacamole recipe. My friends who don't like traditional guacamole have loved this! I made it before going LC, but find that it's still an allowable "treat."
Ingredients
- 2 avacodos
- 2 T Sour Cream
- 2 T french onion dip
- 2 T Salsa
Instructions
Avocados (must be soft); use all other ingredients to taste.
Split avocados and spoon into a bowl. (Discard seed and skin.) Add sour cream, french onion dip, and salsa to the avocados to start. Add some salt and pepper. Mash with a potato masher. As you mash the mixture, add any more amounts of the ingredients that you need to make it the texture and taste that you would like.
Salt is a must as it brings out the "flavor" of the avocado...otherwise it is very bland. Don't overdo it though!
You can eat with pork rinds or other LC crispy items. Also, it is really good to add to mexican dishes. I make when we have taco salads and it makes a yummy topping. It makes a good veggie dip too.
This recipe will make a pretty large batch of dip for you and your family...or for a dinner party. I have served it at dinner parties and there is always plenty even with people enjoying it immensely!
Notes
You can use only sour cream, but the french onion dip is my "secret ingredient" which gives it a great flavor. I prefer the chunky salsa. (Note: Atkins allows 1/2 avocado during Induction)
