Default still cant believe it!!!!!!!!

Last year at this time I had lost about 27 lbs, and went out and bought some new pants.... had previously bought 26, the new ones were 24's. I havn't bought any new pants since (and of course those 24's are just bagging off my b_tt). Anyway, I have been about the same weight since the summer(minus almost 60 lbs), give or take one or two lbs, havn't given up, haven't stopped my daily exercise...So
what can't I believe you ask.... Well, I went shopping on sunday and bought two pairs of pants that were size 18/20..... I still can't believe that I fit into them.... they are a spandex, cotton blend, and look like cargo pants....
I like them, they fit good, and I wish I could afford more, but will wait for a while before I buy some more... maybe then next time I shop it will be like 16/18 or even 14/16
YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOO-HOO!!!

I know one of my biggest goals is to be able to shop in a "regular" store. You are almost there! Actually some places do carry 18's. That must be awesome to get in an 18/20. I can't wait.

Did you put on the 22's then go down to the 20's and rejoice?
You've done GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRReat!

Thanks all,
Noel, I couldn't get into the 22' in regular jeans, the 22 s in the pants I got were way too big, so, just went down one more size....
soon those jeans will fit, but didn't get them...
oh it does feel good, just still can't believe it.
my mind's eye still sees me as real big....

Carolyn,

I still routinely try on the bigger pairs of pants before getting aroudn to believing the size in the ones I eventually buy--I don't think I have bought anything in the last 10 months that I didn't have to try on three too big before I found one in a smaller than I believe me to be size! It is a good feeling, but I seem to still see the "huge me" too!
Enjoy the new pants!!!

Carolyn, we are going to have to meet somewhere and go shopping when you and I both get into 14/16 or 13/14. Dallas has alot of great malls, and I live about 5 miles from the Parks Mall in Arlington. Does Austin have a good mall? Is there anything in between? I'm excited! You're doing great!

I cannot wait until i can squeeze into a smaller pant size. I have dropped 30 pounds but am still in size 18. I can wear 16W ok.....but i want to be in a 13/14 or 15/16
My 18's are getting loose....a year ago they were snug and i refused to buy size 20 so i would force myself into those poor things...now at least they are loose

Congratulations Carolyn! Even men experience this. I always take 2 or 3 different sizes into the fitting room when I need pants.

congratulations, carolyn! getting smaller clothes is one of the UN-mistakable signs of progress, and something you just can't argue with.

and i'm with the other folks here: i have a lot of trouble judging my sizes as well. i usually pick out something i'm sure will be a size too small, and end up going down to the next size after trying it on. occassionaly, if i find something that's tight, i will go ahead and buy it if it's a good deal, because i know i'll be able to wear it soon.

you're on you're way! it's so nice to see folks benefiting from their work and dedication. congrats to you!
