Default Vacation - Yippee!

Well guys - we leave for vacation tomorrow. My daughter came through her open heart surgery wonderfully, and I am down to 215 pounds. I haven't seen most of my husbands family since last year - and weighed 261 pounds then.

It's going to be an interesting trip - I'm going to do my darned best to try to eat healthy while we are there. I'm worried I'm going to cave at the first fast food resturant that we stop at though. So, in light of that worry, I brought my running equipment and will put in some miles in the Black Hills of South Dakota!

The cabin has a stove, and a fridge, and a microwave, so we'll be able to cook our own foods..and bring stuff, so that's a good thing. I picked up beef jerky, bottled water, slim jims, and I have 2 bags of chips (BBQ pork skins).

I'm looking forward to this - last vacation I was out of breath all the time, and couldn't enjoy it as much. I'm looking forward to it.

On a sad note though, my running buddy and best friend just got orders to ship off to parts unknown for 16 months. I'm very said about this. :crying:
He's my support system (clothes shopping - 'yep, need a smaller size', accountability partner, drag me exercising )and I'm thoroughly depressed about it. I'm gonna miss him!

Rhalvhan--
I am glad that your daughter came through her surgery. I wish her a speedy and non-eventful recovery.

Congratulations on the weight loss. Keep up the good work.

Black Hills South Dakota...as in Black Hills Gold???? I love that stuff...

I'm sorry that your work-out friend has to leave...it is never easy to be apart from a good friend.

HAVE A SAFE TRIP.

Enjoy your vacation! You should have tons more energy this year.
Shame about your friend but maybe you'll find someone else to run with.

Have fun. Throw the fast food buns out the window and enjoy the meat and lettuce...wait those buns are probably not the healthiest food for our scavenger animal friends either...you get my drift.

So glad to hear about your daughter's successful surgery.

Enjoy your trip.
