| I read somewhere on the net recently that one should do a 48-hr fast before doing a meat and egg fast. Has anyone tried this? What are your thoughts on this? Also, what exactly can you have on meat and egg fast? Can you have cheese? Also do you need to do low fat meats? Is there a limit on how much calories? I know this is a lot of questions, but I am seriously considering doing this for a while. How long can one do this? Thanks.

| Debby, You're doing Atkins, right? Have you read what Dr. Atkins had to say about fasting? If not, read the book and get the real info. The Fat Fast (which is the only one he recommends, I believe) is only for those who are metabolically challanged, so to speak. If you have lost almost 100 pounds, that is not you. Honestly, I would advise against doing stuff like this, because you can really damage your metabolism. If you decide to go ahead, PLEASE check with your doctor first. I have read a lot of things on the Internet; it does not make them true or wise.
