Not close. And everything has to be close to me or I won't do it. That's what happened with the gym I was religious about going to I moved too far away and then didn't go.

I have heard good things about this rec center near me though. And if I join one then I can go to any of them and it's close enough to drive to the indoor pool with the really neat play area in it. That's really what I should look into first.

But yes, I do like Y's, but they are as expensive as the 24 hour fitness here. In ND they are so reasonable. I was a member there and swam and worked out all the time. It was at a local college so I even had good eye candy

LOL, Noel! I know exactly which Bally's you are talking about and that's the most apt description!

Way back when, DH and I used to go to Better Bodies which was not bad except that I could have done without the "Power Pit" and the guys that patronized it. They were forever hogging the weight machines and would get mad at you for walking up to use an empty one because "they were between sets."

My sister and her family use Denver's rec centers and they really like them.

Yeah I think I went early enough to BB to avoid the hassles.

So I spoke with my son's godmother adn she said she will add me to her membership and it's only going to be $20 a month. So pretty good and the 24 hour fitness is very close to my office, like a half mile. I talked to the daycare lady and she said go ahead and bring him early. All her other kids come earlier we just come later because we live so close.

So cool. I also convinced this girl that only eats one meal a day to try low carb. She said she's gaining on one meal a day. I said you've wrecked you metabolism. So she's going to start induction. If she can't lose then we may have to try the fat fast for a week.Atkins said it's only for those metabolically resistant and I am sorry to say I believe she will be. She's not huge, I wouldn't even say fat of course she would whic is ok. I lok at the new skinny blonde girl here that I can't think of her ID and think she didn't look fat before either but she is sure fit now. That's how this girl is. But she's been starving herself for so long that I'm sure it's going to ake a while for her to get use to eating again. In fact she said to me "that's a lot of food" when I gave her an induction day menu. I'll change her thoguhts. I don't know how she can look at me and not think low carb and eating is not a good thing with the weight I have lost.
