Weekly Weigh-In 3/05 - 3/11/06

I am becoming an expert in maintaining a body weight of 205 pounds! maybe that's where I'm destined to stay? I'm comfortable at this weight and no one believes I weigh more than 180. One person actually made me get on a scale because she didn't believe how much i weighed.

It's only a number. Maybe you should consider this as your goal weight.

well rob, with _your_ walking prowess, i have NO doubt that 205 on you is better than 180 on most men, since you gotta have the muscle to pound down those miles! perhaps it's a good idea to re-evaluate what you're looking for and what you're comfortable with. as i sometimes say, that number on the evil little scale is only an indicator of progress, not the actual deal.

me, this week: i've been watching my eating choices better (meaning better than i had been for a while), but haven't lost a thing yet. which is ok. i know i gotta step up to the plate with exercise, and i'm doing that, a little at a time. i'm still on the right track, so i'm still happy with it.

ditto what goddess has said, Rob, I'm guessing your legs are full of muscle and therefore you look great When asked about my goal weight I always say after telling someone...but I don't know for sure because I have not been that weight as an adult.

I weighed in at 305 Sunday morning. 7 pounds down from last week for induction. It's funny because already people have asked "have you lost any weight yet?" So I always preface my "yes" with "I'm sure some of it is water weight, but yes..." Because even when they ask some people will still try and bring you down with "oh that's water weight". Yep this last week it was, but I know I also lost some "real weight" so I am excited.

congrats to you noel, for "water weight" and otherwise!

phooey on the meanies. when someone is carrying the weight, nobody says, "oh, you don't really weigh that much. some of it's water." some people are just negative. blah on them!

I won't be happy at 205 forever but for now it suits me. exercise is a key element of losing weight for most people. Very much so for me. when i don;t get my walking in i start to gain weight.

Ok, I've plateau'd at 262-264 (two weeks now). I'm sure surgery/meds/no exercise for a week didn't help, but last week I'd upped my Exercise quotient and still no joy :( But I do feel better over all. I'm breaking in some new shoes (per doctor's orders) so I'm dealing with some foot blisters.

Goddess, thanks for the pick-me-up last week. So far, the inner demons haven't talked me into breaking lc. It's helped that the food choices are vast and I've convinced myself that cheating will just make me feel sick.

LC tacos was a great addition to the repertoir.

297... yea... 2 lbs down, is two lbs in the right direction

I got my hair cut yesterday and somebody noticed this morning and said it made my face look thinner! If that is all it takes . . . :-) Still plugging along, although having issues with a foot injury so now I can't do the 5 miles a day walking that I was doing. I hope that it doesn't slow down the weight loss.

ah, those compliments are great, aren't they? that's wonderful that your efforts got noticed!

still plugging is exactly what you need to do. the foot will heal, and you'll be back in the walking game. hang in there.
