Weekly weigh-in 5/28 - 6/3/06

WHOOOOOOOOOSH...that's the sweet sound of 5 pounds mysteriously disappearing from my body last week. I'm at 295 and rapidly approaching last year's low.

The only thing I hate about whooshes for me is that generally they are followed by a slow week, but that's ok.

oh noel! i'm so delighted to hear the whoosh fair visited you! i know that getting back under 300 again hast to be a great psychological boost as well. you go, girlfriend!

Color me disappointed. I know I was down some weight on Friday afternoon because the scale read the same as it did last Tuesday morning (there can be as much as a 5 pound swing). So all weekend long, I was looking forward to the scale on Tuesday morning - hoping I would be breaking in a new decade. Instead, I'm up a pound to 232. :(

Of course, a box arrived from Netrition on friday evening so I introduced myself to "Carbquik," Saturday morning (pancakes with hazelnut syrup). I also had some wine on Saturday evening and some bbq on Sunday/Monday. I had hoped that would be counter-balanced by a good workout Friday night and a rigorous hike Sunday afternoon (a friend and I did the Billy Goat trail at Great Falls park, MD), but apparently not.

Noel - Nice loss btw. You gotta love the Whoosh Fairy!

I had pancakes last night, Sven. Love the LC pancakes but for some they can cause bloat. I'm feeling a bit puffy this morning.

I'm down 2 pounds. Of course I would like it to be more, but I am happy with that - especially after the crazy week I had.

you go, carolyn! sven-it's just a matter of time. i know since i've started with carbquik, i do have to watch my potion control. and hooray for kelly! never complain it ain't enough. every pound down is a good pound down.

At the rate of two pounds a week, in 6 months, you will lose 50+ pounds. Your weight will become a positive topic of conversation! I know it's my favorite topic now.

oh kelly, you'll be annoying all your friends and family in no time with the topic. that's part of the reason i joined this community in the first place-everybody else was sick of hearing me rave about lc and all the weight i've lost.

it takes a bit to get used to, but after your intial whooshes of induction, it does slow down. over my first year low carbing, i averaged less than 2 pounds a week, but of course, it ended up being over a hundred pounds. it's the consistency that matters. sounds like you're doing great.

Goddess - Let me say.. I absolutly love your "fatbutt syndrome" I spent a couple days reading through your website. Great stuff in there!

I know I can't wait to bug everyone, he! he! I have tried and tried again on this so LC WOE and I am happy to announce I here for the long haul this time. I didn't get to 270 pounds overnight - and it sure won't come off overnight. LC is the only thing that has ever worked for me and now I know it is NOT a diet. I am changing the way I eat for the rest of my life. Well... enuf ranting!

Woo-Hoooooo.... We're on our way!
