Rhonda - That's why you succeed in this woe/wol. You don't let yourself get complacent.

Weighed in this morning at 223.5 which is up 13 pounds since the day before Thanksgiving.

I gained about 4 pounds over the holiday/post-baby birth season. All in all, it could have been much worse. I did very well at the dinner table (mostly because it was me cooking . I was bad when it came to things like Ferrero Rocher and Guylian as well as a bit more alcohol than I should (I always was a sucker for egg nog). I also sampled some of my wife's baked goods. But I kept to hard and fast rules as far as meals go. Some of my holiday meals over the last week while my parents and MIL were in town:

Lamb Chops with fresh rosemary beurre blanc, Fauxtatoes, Broccoli

Sauteed Shrimp and Zucchini in a Thai Red Curry sauce

Beef Stroganoff over Egg Noodles (Faux rice for me)

Beef Stew (Slow cooked - 6 hr.s, 275) about 3 lb.s of beef, potatoes, carrots and onions, 2 cubes beef bouillon, 2 Tbl worcester sauce, half cup water - lg can diced tomatoes and halved/quartered fresh mushrooms added about half an hour before.
This is a great easy recipe - no need to brown beef or peel potatoes, just cut them to easy bite size...

Spiral Ham with Baked Beans and Green Beans (I just sampled the baked beans)

New Year's Eve: Breast of Turkey, Fauxtatoes, Sauteed Spinach with cranberries, stuffing and Turkey Gravy.
