Default Half way there

It's been several months since my last post. I need to get back to business with this weight loss, it has really slowed down. I started June 2006 at 262 and now (May 2007) I'm 210. It's time to pick up the pace a little. I started off with Atkins and moved into what I call "carb careful". I'd be aware of the carbs, but would eat 'em anyway, small portions. That's why I haven't lost any since January. On the upside - I haven't gained back either. I feel so much better about myself this May than I did last May (I turned 40 last May - big milestone).

I had someone tell me today that he was surprised when he found out I was turning 41. He said I looked much younger than that. Well, you know that made me feel good! I'm inspired to get back in the low carb game. I need accountability and I think I can get it here! Thanks for letting me get started again. I look forward to getting to know the other members of the 100+lbs forum.

Good for you, Carla!

It sounds to me as if you've already figured out how to eat for your metabolism at the maintenance stage. This is already a big plus!

Best of luck on your return to OWL.

Wow, thanks girls. I never thought of it as being successful in the maintenance area. I just considered it slacking off in the weight loss department. I'm even more inspired now. Will stay in touch.:bellydanc

Carla-What you've done is integrated low carb into your lifestyle. while you'll need to make adjustments to lose more weight, you've learned the most important part of the process: making it just the way you eat!

Welcome to LCE and (back) to the weight-loss phase of the process. We're happy to have you with us.

Good Morning,

I'm down 2 pounds this morning. I was expecting some loss as I have really been concentrating on my water (trying to get in 100 ounces) and yesterday I had vegs. and protein. Made red/yellow/green pepper and onion stir fry with chicken last night. The kids had fried rice and chicken, I had one tablespoon of the fried rice mixed in with my stir fry. I did have some chocolate last night, I've just started taking L-Glutamine so hopefully those sweet cravings will start going away. And...I went to the gym. Yesterday was a good day. My scales this morning confirmed it. I'm on my way! Thanks girls for the encouragement. (I gotta figure out how to change my ticker from 210lbs to 208lbs)
