| I like putting a teasing title on my threads! But seriously, the newest part of my battle to be LC forever has been what I think and how I talk to myself. That little nagging voice that tells me that I am never going to be thin, not good enough to be thin, and each time I weigh myself if the scale hasn't gone down that I am a loser. So I had addressed some of these issues on this board and got great advice and help. Goddess recommended that I get Dr. Phil's Ultimate Weight Loss book. You cannot follow his food plan, but he has great advice on how to get over the negative self talk and how to start healing from the things that you have used food to mask your feelings about. Goddess confessed that she was not a Dr. Phil fan, which immediately made me say, yeah, I'm not either. But it doesn't have the tone of his tv persona. There is some straight talking in this book, but really sometimes that is what I need. So I wanted to recommend this book to anyone who was feeling like half of our battle is mental too. Great resource, very helpful. BTW, I found it on amazon, used for about $4 (included shipping and handling). Happy Friday to all!

| Thanks for the book recommendation! I like Dr. Phil and how blunt he can be. Sometimes I need that too. |
