Re: Here is a lovely question about-Skin I have lost 100 lbs and what seemed to make it possible for me to not have a loose skin issue was my workouts. I worked out 6 days a week. Always did about 30 mins of cardo- sprints (few mins high speed - few mins low alternating) and then would lift weights alternating days between upper and lower body. Lower weight intitaly when I was heavier and then increased the weight as I lost. Once I got into that zone and stayed there 8 months 100 lbs down - very tight body and amazing endurance. Low carb was the other part- I think ingesting olive oil helped my skin as well....but no proof there.
After a long illness I am back having take off he weight one more time- and I do mean one more time. I am older so I am making sure to drink a lot more water (green tea as well) and using Jergens lotion to keep my skin hydrated. The poster above I think was spot on - put the lotion on while still damp from the shower and get out into clean natural waters when you can.
I also add this to a good soaking bath in my jacuzzi tub Molton Brown's Sea Moss stress-releving hydrosaok while circulating the jets as well- it's a bit pricy and will turn the water a pretty green -does not stain my tub but make sure to check to see if you need to do a quick wash out of yours afterward. My skin sings afterward though and I really layer on the lotion, |
