my doctor was ok with the low carb plan I am on...I eat a lot of protien, yes but I also get as many vegies in as I can and stay at 20 carbs...last day of induction for me and it is going up to 25 carbs a day.....keeping my fingers crossed

what has happened to the 100'lbs to lose group....so... how are you doing...
I am on day two of a Master Cleanser Fast...(lemon, lime and orange juice, maple syrup and cayanne pepper) at 3pm today I will have made it thru 48 hours... am hoping to go another day maybe more, will see how i feel tomorro night when I make it thru three... I am then going to start eating slowly... veggie soup, some soy protien (tofu) and then start adding more and more of my protien and veggies (raw)...
am hoping to start induction on monday the 19th and do that for two weeks...
I am hoping that this fast will make me realize that food doesn't have to rule me, I can rule it.
It is so hard sometimes to get thru a day without wanting to eat all the time.
anyway...ranting and raving...
I also starting to use richard simmons sweatin to the oldies 3-5 times a week (in addition to 3 hours water volley ball, and three hours of aqua aerobics.)

so... onward thru the fogtime isn't standing still....
an neither am I, I am on the right side of the battle....

Wow! Sounds like you have a plan and you are on fire! Keep up the good energy and the good thoughts!

I still have 70 pounds to go to get to goal. It has been a journey of ups and downs for me over the last three months. Still trying to get my consistency down. Once I am really in the groove the weight seems to melt off.

Lately for me it has been more of a mental challenge than anything. Getting myself in the right frame of mind.

Whew! It's a journey, isn't it?!

Carolyn-I hope things go smoothly for you and you're feeling more in balance soon.

Mab-I've always consider the mental challenges the real make-or-break it part of the process. Eating LC isn't all that hard with some practice, but changing how you think can be a bear sometimes...or it least it sometimes is for me...

my balance is back, thanks goddess, I had three days of no food, and am eating pretty much where I wanted to be..Breakfast this week is a quice I put together last week, than frooze - eggs, cheese, 1/2 and 1/2 and turkey sausage...mmmm
lunch for today is a combo beef stew and veggie soup - I pulled out one container of the stew on friday and two containers of the soup - from the freezer, then mixed them all together.... so it is mostly the veggie soup, but a little of the stew in it....
also some salad togo with lunch.
dinner, salad and pork chop.
no snacking... found that I didn't have to snack while I was fasting, don't need to snack now...so,...
onward to a thinner me

Thumbs up Re: new year still over 100 lbs to lose

Yes Mab, Momentum is pretty wonderful... feeling like I am on the right road again... watching what I eat, when I eat, why I eat, how much I eat....Enjoying doing Richard SImmons dvd's, four different ones so I don't get bored.... I do get a sweatin' and that make me know I am burning the fat away....
last week I got in 5 workouts with his tapes, this week I am shooting for 6, and next week will shoot for 7, I am planning on taking them with me on our vacation so I can keep working out (we leave on June 1st and come back onthe 6th) and not lose that Momentum....

havn't gotten to weigh in yet, havnt been to the gym, but hopefully the pool will be back open this weekend.

later

Hi, I am new and would like to join the over 100 lbs to lose. I lost 80 lbs 2yrs because of LC but depression and other things made me lose my way. I have cut out sugar and flour from my eating about 3 weeks ago in preparation to do induction so I can slowly give up the exta cream in my coffee and diet cokes and add more water among other things needed for induction. I weigh in at the doctors tomorrow the first time in a while I know I am over 330. I just started back excercising too
So here I am.

Lisa sounds like you are getting the body and the mind ready for induction the right way, by getting rid of some of those things you shouldn't be eating...and starting exercising is always good...
I have been doing richard simmons because the pool I go to has been closed for repairs... so...
I am sweatin to the oldies, and eating on track... no sugar for me either since saturday, and for a week before that...

having a lot to lose tends to make one feel like you will never get there, but I am going to get there ... I will succeed....
I have faith that I will be able to eat on track in order to achieve my goal... cause as Goddess says " i deserve it" and i do...

keep me posted on your progress, if you need help in any way let us know and we will be there...
have a great day

Butterfly Re: new year still over 100 lbs to lose

Lisa-Souns like a nice, gentle transition back into low-carbing. I prefer those, myself...no reason making it harder than it needs to be.

And yes, Carolyn, you do deserve to be good to yourself! Glad to see you're feeling more in the groove and happier with your choices and progress. That's wonderful to hear.

Good to see both the new and familiar faces around here.

wow! this is great! everyone is doing so well and is positive. woo hoo!

one really great peice of advice i got in this particular forum for those of us on the 100 lb journey was to not look at the whole amount we have to lose but to look at smaller goals. it has been really helpful for me because the 100 number really intimidated me and i felt like i could never do that much.

Hi, First thanks for the encouragement and warm welcome
I went to my doctors today for my base line weigh for my induction and in the last 3 weeks I have lost 17lbs just by cutting out the sugar and flour I went from 328 last doctors visit to 311. So I now have a starting weight of under 330 which is what I thought I was gonna start my induction at. Well I have just added exercise to the program too 30minutes walking on the treadmill and the weight machines. That's good advice not to think of the whole amount I think it will be better if I think in smaller goals. Well its been a good day I would say.
