Thanks Mab, Yes it is nice to finaly have my family take into account my woe. It just makes it easier to follow when you have supports in your corner who when you go out also will not try to sway you into eating something you wouldn't eat on your own though I know the ultimate choice is mine. I have also found my friends have been quite supportive too. I need to improve on developing my menu more and eating breakfast consistently as well but so far I am happy with the progress I have already made. But being able to read the articles, blogs and join in the forums help me keep on track tremendously.

Carolyn, just wanted to let you know you are inspiring me to get with and stay with the program too. Keep posting and letting us know how it's going! It really does help all of us who are wrestling with the same challenges.

Hi, all! Can I join your group?

I have over 200 pounds to lose! I can use all the support I can get and this looks like a good place for that.

Talk to you all later!

Sydney

Hello, Sydney & Ty. Of course you are welcome here.

I find that, instead of looking at having to lose 100+ lbs, set a much smaller goal, perhaps 5 or 10 lbs, and when you reach that, set a new goal. If your goal is 100 lbs, and you lose 5, you've lost 1/20th of your weight. Sounds a lot easier that way! And even just 5 lbs makes a difference in how you feel overall.

So, keep coming back, asking questions. We're here to encourage each other.

Glad to hear you had a good vacation, Carolyn! So how'd your week back from vacation go?

I am going on vacation the 28th of this month! I can hardly wait. I am going to visit my best friend in Pennsylvania! And I am getting to see her 5-month-old daughter for the first time. I will be there an entire week, but I know time will fly by.
