That's the common sense approach, make little goals, perhaps 5 or 10 lbs at a time. When you reach that goal, reward yourself with a little non-food item. If you look at having too lose 115 lbs, it's daunting, but, hey, 5 lbs, that's easy!

Just getting started is a real accomplishment!
I think setting smaller goals has been v. helpful for me. When I thought of that nice big 100 + number in my head it seemed daunting. But you can do this!

You are absolutely right!

Set mini-goals for yourself and designate a specific (non-food) reward for each goal reached (massage, new CD, whatever appeals to you).
Love your attitude! You're gonna do GREAT!

I like the reward thing! I've decided, when I lose the 1st 10 lbs., to buy myself a PRETTY bra. I'm so tired of the boring "big girl" bras! Anybody have a brand they like for us "fluffy" chicks? There's got to be something out there for those of us who can't shop at Victoria's Secret! (Yet...)

Tracy, check out Just My Size, Roamans, Lane Bryant and Woman Within. They have some really pretty bras, as well as the old plain Jane comfort stand-bys. These are all online as well as catalog order. In fact, Just My Size has been running a $13.99 Playtex sale, and some of them are very pretty.

I say we all get together and have a run at victoria secrets when we meet goal, what better incentive then gorgeous undies.

In the meantime, JMS has some nice looking bras and you can order a catalog online.

Lane Bryant has very pretty undergarments for us big girls. Also there are Ashley Stewarts (plus size) stores in MI...they also have pretty underwear and lingerie.
