My elbows , they are soft . Before I started this there was no amount of lotion I could use to soften my elbows. AND I fall asleep sooner and hubby says I don't keep him up by snoring

I am rarely sick...I used to catch everything!
I can wear a smaller size at same wt as prior low fat diets!
I just felt my elbows and realized that they ARE soft!!!

Hubby's been sick twice now, and I didn't catch it - I usually catch everything, and take it 3 steps further - if he gets a cold, I get pneumonia.

I'm alot less crabby, and alot more willing to go out and do things, or try new things.

    Woohoo!

Junie! Me, too!! I know I weigh more right now and I'm in a smaller size than I was on low fat diets. I told DH that and he thought I was nuts. LOL!

    Cheers!

Okay, I wanna know who DIDN'T rub their elbows just now??? LOL Oh yea, I did too and boy are they soft. That is too funny cause they never are.

I am also sleeping more soundly and I go to sleep before my husband sometimes which is amazing!

Thanks all for confirming that one can weight more and wear a smaller size. I'd convinced myself that I no longer remembered what I weighed when I wore these sizes that I'm in now.

I'm not wearing a smaller size ( but I know I will soon!!!

And yep the elbows and every other part of my body is soft and moist feeling...no more dry skin!! Even my calfs are not dry which they were always dry.

My elbows are soft, and they never used to be. I realised about the change when I went to dab some facial moisturiser on my elbows, which I tended to do in the old days if I had some left on my finger.

Nails are harder than for years.

I don't snore any more. The DH was having to sleep in a different room.

I don't wake up with an aching back - due, I was told, to the weight I was carrying around my front. Somehow it only hurt when I woke up, but it was agony.

I don't get so many colds and infections. Have only had one cold in four months, and it was doing the rounds.

I'm open minded about my allergies, I think it may take longer on this WOE - some people think LC-ing has helped, so I'm hopeful.

I think my itchy scalp is getting better. Maybe it would have been anyway, but I've had this all my adult life until recently. I hardly need to bother with the medicated shampoos any more.

My hairdresser said this week that my skin looked 'radiant'. My neighbour has also commented on my skin. Must be the water?

I used to have a horrible 'belt' of fat round my midriff which dug into me and was really uncomfortable when I leaned over to lace up my trainers. This is much reduced and my flexibility so much better...

Oh yes, the smaller clothes sizes.... Down to size 'L' rather than XXL, and a 16/18 (UK) instead of 22/24.

Had I been doing low calorie I think my weight might have gone down faster, but I would have been losing muscle as well as fat.

Never did get that energy spurt that others claim. But the carbo-fog in my brain has cleared and when I did that test in the Atkins book, I didn't have to check the 'depressed and anxious' stuff.

    Hi all,

I noticed my elbows immediately after I began LCing. I have always had "sandpaper" elbows. (That is what my DH called them)

I get a lot of compliments on my skin as well as my hair. Not to mention people are really noticing my weight loss finally. (people who didn't know I was on Atkins)

I love this WOL, I feel more energetic and I don't have to take Tylenol PM to sleep since I began Atkins. Fingernails harder, ankles and feet don't hurt as much because I am 35 pounds lighter.

    Life is getting better!

I used to get sooo sleeepy around 1 PM while at work. One time I actually fell asleep while posting at the computer.
Now I have much more energy and hardly yawn during the day.
