Default I have 140 lbs to lose! I'm Ready!

    Hello All,

I am back on the LCE band wagon. I have a goal to lose 140 lbs, I am currently 280 lbs. I was on LCE Lifestlye back in 2007, but failed and 2 years later, here I am ready to try again. I know 140 lbs is ALOT of weight to lose, but I am up for the challenge. I am looking to talk to others who have the same/similiar goal as me. Good luck everyone, I wish you all success in your weight loss.

    God Bless,

    Hi Sandi,

However much you have to lose, I know you can do it. As long as you stay focused, determined and work hard. I am willing to put all of the work in to achieve my goal. Together we can achieve more! Encouragement is a wonderul thing to have when you are losing weight or accomplishing any goal for that matter. I enocurage you and I offer my support. I like your "10 lbs at a time" goal. I plan to follow that goal. Good luck and please keep in touch!

    Sandi,

You are so welcome, I could use some of your encouragement too! I cheated on Saturday, trumendously, so don't feel bad even though it's hard not too! I am a emotional eater. I tend to eat more when I am depressed. It sounds like we have that in common. I try to stay strong but it's hard. Just like it's hard for a crack addict to stop using crack. It's hard for someone who is addicted to food, like myself. I just want to stay focused and lose this weight and maintain a healthy lifestyle. I won't give up, just keep trying and striving. You do the same!

Remember, we can do it! Lots of Hugs to you!

Hi, Bryana. I really respect your challenge of losing 140 lbs. and I know you've come to a great place for encouragement and support.

Once you've made up your mind--"I'm ready!"--the rest is just figuring out ways to do it that you can live with comfortably. I think it's more about methods than willpower or "strength."

Since you know you're an emotional eater, you can work on creating snacks and nibbles that still fit into your plan. Check out the recipes on this site, or post a question somewhere about how to address situations where you just "gotta" have something to eat.

This way of eating is about the quality (kind) of food you eat. Quantity (calories) isn't that important, especially at first. By all means, EAT. But eat the right things.

Finally, I think it's easier on your self-esteem to think about "choices" instead of "cheating." You don't need to pile guilt on yourself. Empower yourself!

    Best wishes.

I can actually relate to you alot. I was on the LC WOE (Atkins to be specific) back in 2005. I went from 259 lbs, all the way down to 195 lbs. Then I met someone, got busy and stopped focusing on keeping myself healthy. I really stopped exercising all together, and the daily "tasks" of life took over... and I gained back up to 233.6 lbs. Guess it really shows you that this should be a long term eating plan, not just a diet. My final goal weight is 150, so when I'm done... I will have lost 109 lbs from HW to LW.

Well it's 2009 and I am back for good. I've actually gotten my parents to join me for atleast 14 days of trying (although my dad really seems to like it, and once my mom gets over the cappuchino withdrawl lol, I think she'll see how good it is). Even if they are only doing it to help me get motivated at the beginning, I'm in it for the long haul this time.

Today was actually Day 1 of induction for me, and it just feels so good to be back. I can't wait for the weight to start coming off, and for the good feelings that come with being healthy.

I wish you the best of luck in your return to LCE... and let me know if I can be moral support

    Then I met someone
I think I'm going to contribute a new chapter to every nutrition book: The Danger Zone of Love

Accommodating life to another person--be it sweetheart, parent, roommate, child--can be, well, distracting. It happens so subtly, and we're so happy along the way! When it comes to love and affection, I consider it a kind of "test" if that other person applauds and supports my "different" way of eating--and that means not leading me into temptation, criticizing, or making it difficult.

The real story is: You are you at any weight, and those who love you see the inner light.
