I live in a very small town and the chiropractor here writes up a health newsletter and it's put in everyones mailbox. One of the articles yesterday said that he only uses butter and takes about 1 cup of butter and mixes it with olive oil to make it softer and easier to spread. Has anyone else heard of this? Would it still need to be kept in the fridge?

actually you will need to keep in fridge. The only butter you don't have to keep in fridge is GHEE - clarified butter.

My Dad has been doing his butter this way for years - he calls it "better butter" - he also puts crushed garlic in it. It's GREAT on lots of stuff like BAKED POTATOES (whatever THOSE are! ) and all manner of veggies.

He keeps his in the fridge.

I mix 2 sticks of softened butter with 1 TB of heavy whipping cream and 1 cup of oil. It's great for spreading and tastes great too.

God's will. Nothing more. Nothing less. Nothing else.

    tiashanty,

Sounds like you have an awesome chiropractor! Or maybe I am just biased because that is what I am going to school for!

Hey thanks Cyndi, would that be olive oil you use? Future Doc, I haven't been to this fellow yet, but I'm sure thinking about it. Too much computer has left me with a real sore neck. It's the cost that stops me...medical doesn't cover chiroprator anymore and it's $40 a visit.
