I woke up this morning and had a stupid idea. I decided that today I wouldn't eat or would only eat very little. After all, that is what I did when I was thin, and how I lost 30 pounds a few years ago.

I'm doing great on induction, but I thought that if I did this I would loose a bit more and be super encouraged when I weighed in on Monday.

However, here I am at 10 am, ready to eat anything in site. I just wolfed down a pepperoni stick and some cheese. It didn't satisfy me, so I went for the low car candy that I am trying to stay away from. i told myself only one bite, but at the whole thing. It says zero net carbs, but when I subtrated fiber from total carbs on my own it had 14.
I am also having problems drinking my water today.

    Good luck all!!

I admire that you were willing to admit you were going to try that. As you have found out it doesn't work. You will actually lose more by keeping your metabolism running in high gear all day. I try to graze all day. Eat every 2 1/2 to 3 hrs, a protein and veggies. I don't always eat this often but I feel good all day and I don't have urges to binge.

Hunger doesn't have a conscience. So avoid it unless you are asleep!

You are doing good, keep doing what you know to be healthy and we shall succeed!

tisk tisk Seesko, I know you must have read enough on this site to know that your thinking has got you in trouble. That is not the way this woe works. Skipping meals will cause you to stall out and not lose as much as you would if you ate. Hey, live and learn, right? Tomorrow will be a better day. Good Luck!

Maybe this analogy would spark something? (even a roll of the eyes or maybe a giggle, or hopefull an aahhhaa..)

Think of you car. It won't run without gas.
It runs very badly on the wrong gas.

Well, your body IS a fine tuned very complex machine. It's your vehicle! Keep it fueled with the right food, and it will become efficient and healthy.

Let it 'run on fumes'or next to empty, or put the wrong fuel in, and you'll be feeling poorly and unfit in no time.

Then your 'car' will be sputtering around trying to grab what fuel it can - thus junk you shouldn't eat, and so it goes.

Well, I knew what I meant anyway lol

Hope you get sorted out, and EAT!

    Just Believe.

Seesko, keep your head up! Look at this experience as "okay, now I know what I shouldn't do." Since we are doing this as a WOL, it's just like anything else in life, experience is the best teacher! By the time you reach goal, girl, you're gonna be so wise!!!

Not only is tomorrow another day, but the next hour is an hour to start again!!

I know that I knew better, but am so anxious to see a big weight change. I am very impatiant.

I drank a big glass of water and had some chili for lunch. It didn't have any beans in it, so I think it was o.k.

Going to be good tomarrow....no meal skipping and eat only what I know is low carb.

    Good luck all!!

It is good that you recognized your mistake.

Actually eating has been one of the hardest things for me to "learn" since I started this WOE. It is now almost 6 months and I still have days where I have to remind myself to eat.

Good luck today...I know you will make it a l/c one!
