Hi everyone. This is my problem, I am not hungry and I think I am causing myself to stall. Could that be possible. During the week it is a little easier but the weekends are horrible. I may not get hungry until well after 3, then when I do eat I just pick at my food. I noticed it about a week or so ago, rather my husband noticed it, because I keep leaving unfinished food in the frig. Then he had a co-worker check on whether I was eating at work. So of course he is fussing at me. I work out and I am feeling great, I am just not hungry so I don't think to eat.

What do I do?

I am determined.

The answer is simply YES.

You really must remind yourself to eat. Go no longer than 6 hours between re-fueling. Your body NEEDS the energy on a regular basis. If you do not refuel then your body will try to conserve energy by slowing your metabolism...thereby slowing your weight loss or stalling it completely

Eating was one of the hardest things for me to learn to do. After 6 months, I still struggle with it on occation. BUT you must eat.

I agree with Karen, you must eat to lose. I know it goes against what you've been taught to believe, but it's true.

I have the same problem on the weekends. i am far less structured on weekends; I sleep in sometimes until 9:00am and then I don't really get hungry until 1 or 2pm. Then, which probably seems crazy, i don't know what the heck to eat! It seems too late for breakfast and I end up being undecided until late in the afternoon. Last weekend, I tried to address this by keeping deveiled eggs in the fridge, so when I have my "i-don't-know" moments, I just eat a few of these. My weight loss has been relatively steady. So, long story short---EAT!!!

Yeah, that phenomenon happened to me yesterday, too. I was be-boppin' along, doing my usual weekend (even though it was Monday...snow day from work) routine of cleaning and laundry (and shoveling snow this time) and by 4:00pm I realized I hadn't eaten one bite of food all day long, even though I had gotten up at 6:30am. So, I forced myself to eat a portion of protein and some vegetables, but didn't finish everything.

Around 7:30pm, I realized that I really needed to eat something, although I wasn't hungry. Again, I forced myself to eat.

This morning I awoke with that wonderful awful taste of ketosis in my mouth. I know I'm on track and doing things right. I'm glad I'm going to work today (although more snow is in the forecast for today) because I'll be back on a schedule and will eat properly.

Yep, agreed!!! I have to force myself to eat sometimes too. But I find that if I don't eat a lot during the day, I pig out at dinner. So I try to keep it even and steady.
