    Hey Y'All
Okay, I'm going to a Super Bowl party and I am pretty confident I can avoid the off-paln foods. BUT... can I have a couple of low carb beers? I haven't cheated since I started 4 weeks ago, though I have been tempted a few times. I feel pretty strong in the food category, but I really would like to be able to enjoy a cold one or two. I'm going to make some beanless chili and bring a 6-pack of Michelob ultra. Can I have a few (2), please, PULEEEEZE?!?!

Seriously... you are so smart... don't waste the carbs on the food... go for the beer! It's football & beer, not football and food!

    Cherub,

I have a Mich Ultra occasionally; and it's fine, I think, if you keep it to two.

    Remember three important things:

    1. Your body will burn alcohol first, so it may slow or stall your loss, and dehydrate you. Drink lots of extra water the next day.

    2. After abstaining from drinking for a while, you might discover it hits you harder than before, so be cautious and space them out.

    3. It's the SUPER BOWL...enjoy yourself!!!!

(Oh, and GO PATS!!. Sorry, I had to. )

Yes have a few but read Trina's cautions several times. I plan to have a few beers today. It just wouldn't feel like superbowl to me without them. But have a big glass of water in between each beer which will slow down your drinking, help keep you sober, and will help ward off beer bloat. If you should just happen to finish the whole 6 pack, do NOT go near the scales for a few days.

GO PANTHERS!! Sorry Trina I just had to as well. I did root for the Patriots in 2002. But this is my home team. But I won't be upset if New England wins. I have to admire the Pats for being such a great team.
