I took my son to a local restaurant Fazoli's which is the "fast food" version of Italian cuisine. We were going grocery shopping, but he was hungry. Never good to take him shopping when hungry.

Anyways, while we waiting in line someone started to complain because of Fazoli's new low carb menu. His words were "Curse you Atkins for what you've done to people"

Well, I couldn't let that comment go without a rebuttal. I smiled and said to this young college kid.."No, actually, I'm diabetic and it's helped me a great deal. Not to mention it's taken care of quite a few medical problems I'm dealing with."

This young guy merely laughed and made mention that yes, it's good for diabetics, but thought it funny everyone else was on it. I told him that some places were now offering Low Carb spaghetti. He said "low carb spaghetti,isn't that a contradiction in terms."

Well, I went on to explain to him that it's made of soy flour, not wheat.
To which he replied "You learn something new every day"

Round one won. LOL. Needless to say, this young man didn't make any comments against Atkin's while I was in ear shot. LMAO.

I was there last week and they had a LC salad, and also a dish with chicken, broccoli, and alfredo sauce.

Yep, that's definitely what they had and it looks pretty good, from the picture. Haven't tried it yet.

oh dang, i used to love fazoli's hmmmmm. that peppery chicken is pretty good, too.

I have tried there salad and it is very good. that was awhile ago so I don't remember how many carbs but it was really good

That's the URL for Fazoli's resturants, but I've noticed they didn't list the low carb menu yet. Their salads are listed though. If I remember right the low carb chicken and brocolli was 8 carbs.
