Default Willpower

I am so proud of myself I just had to share. My favorite snack in the whole world is Frito Lay Scoops. But, they don't sell them in Canada. At least they didn't sell them here. My hubby and I were in WalMart last night and there they were on the shelf. All I could say was "Oh, my God, Scoops". I could feel my mouth watering. It's been about 2 years since I've had any. We are going to a ball tournament this weekend and were getting snacks for hubby when I saw them. He reached up and took down a bag and said "come on, it's a special occasion, you can let go just for this weekend". I didn't even think about it. I told him "NO". He didn't argue with me, just put them back on the shelf, and shaking his head said " Now, that's really willpower". No one, knows how badly I wanted those darn things, but once in my hands I wouldn't be able to stop and I'd be going back and buying more. I've lost 78 pounds with only 10 to go. It would be crazy to slip now. Anyway, I just wanted to share that little story with all of you and to let you know that without all of you, I wouldn't be 10 sizes less than I was when I started.

Congrats on the weight loss.

I know I can't trust myself with my favorite foods in the house, so that's why I don't get them. LOL Same with my son.

Thumbs up Re: Willpower

Wow, fantastic job!!! I too can't be trusted with anything I love in my home. The other day my friend came over, and she is used to "raiding" my fridge... she was so mad at me...LOL Hey, let her go buy her own junk... it's not in this house ANYMORE!!

Congrats also on that incredible loss!!! I sure hope I can say the same next year!!! God willing!

Donna - Smart move. The high carb things we want most are the ones that most need to be avoided. Congratulations!

You go girl! I know how hard it can be to resist those cravings! U deserve props for it!
I successfully avoided too! LOL Hubby brought home a homemade pineapple upside cake and ate it while we were laying in bed! I was salivating but refused even a bite. It felt good to have some control......finally!
