Default Daily Check In - December

This is where you post your veggie and fruit consumption each day, to stay accountable to "5 A Day the Low Carb Way".

Keep it going, ladies and gents! The world needs to know what "real" low carbers eat.

This time of year is a toughie for some of us to get decent fresh veggies and fruits, but we can prevail.

Today had a big helping of my chicken and extra veggie soup for lunch and a giant salad for supper. All together it was at least 5 servings. Got a little cold so I will be eating the soup all week.

I had my traditional 3C salad at lunch, had 1C cauliflower and about 3/4C of broccoli for dinner last night--missed my fruit but alas, all is well. . .I got my servings in, just not in the normal way!

Breakfast: spinach & mushrooms (in omelet - yum); lunch: 2 c dark leafy greens (I cut back my usual 3 cups cause I'm still battling this cold) with radishes, mushrooms, bell pepper and cucumber; dinner - zucchini & tomato

Had a couple servings of baby carrots today (too many) for a snack, lunch was a lot more of the veggie chicken soup and supper was a broccoli/onion omlette.

Had my usual salad--and french fries if they count--I was not all that good yesterday at all and am down half a pound today--go figure--it has to be because I drank over a gallon yesterday with my cough an sore throat from hollering over kids in the gym. I had almost no voice by the end of the day yesterday! It was a good lesson though--I think the kids learned a LOT about cooperation and working as a team!

"No fries" is good.
Of course techincally they are a vegetable.

More baby carrots today. They (along with peanut butter) served as breakfast since I left home without it. Then for lunch I had a huge 4 cup green salad. For supper I had a half a bag (so 8 oz) of cauliflower. Back on track with veggies. Hope to keep up the good eating this weekend.
