| Beachfox, what is a pawpaw? Just wondering...some kind of fruit? Always looking for something new. Has anyone tried figs? Heard they were low carb? Never had one.

| http://www.crfg.org/pubs/ff/papaya.html Heya Biddy22 The above url is a paw paw - a tropical fruit with orange or red flesh. Can't think of any similar fruits except to say its sort of in a melon family? Yes - have fresh organic figs regularly - absolutely divine! Particularly grilled (sorry broiled) lightly with goats fetta - OMG!!! |

| Angie, here is the carb count on figs: 1 large=12.28 carbs minus 1.9 fiber; 1 medium=9.59 carbs minus 1.4 fiber; and 1 small= 7.67 carbs minus 1.2 fiber. Breakfast was an omelet with celery, onions and jalepenos, meat and cheese. Lunch was a lettuce salad, cucumbers vinagrette, and philly cheese steak minus the bun. Dinner was a taco salad with lettuce, grape tomatoes, green onions, and jalepenos. |

| hdyhouse eats GOOD! I had a few cherries at breakfast, some leftovers at lunch:cauli salad and broc-n-cheese. I ate a small apple for snack, then a big salad with dinner. That's 5, or close enough!

| Thanks for the info! I didn't realize that pawpaw was papaya. Learn something new every day. Today, few grapes, and spinach so far.

| Haven't been doing really well with my veggies. Bad, girl. But I did manage to get in a ton of veggies before my two day absense from them so now I must get in a ton for the two days after. Started out with brussel sprouts for lunch and will be having a big salad for supper and raw cauliflower and broccoli for snack.

| Well - hey - Biddy22 - now you can speak Aussie eh! Actually - its been a bit of a giggle for me lately too - I was in a meeting yesterday - and I said 'o maaan - what do you guys think you are doing here!' and everyone just LOOKED at me and said 'where the hell have you been?' Heee hee - reading too much of HeyKims journal I think!!!! |

| Lunch - just nuked a couple of field mushrooms filled with chopped red and yellow cherry tomatoes, pepper, fresh basil and parsley and shaved parmesan cheese on top - was excellent! Re figs - o yep - should have qualified/quantified that - my plan only allows 1 medium fresh fig. But boy! its worth it!! |

| Ha! Beachfox - that cracks me up! I feel so worldly now! The rest of my day was broccoli, bamboo, and salad. Not bad.

| Yesterday was a good day. Breakfast was Maggie's cereal with dried cranberries. Lunch was cucumbers vinagrette and Mile-high shredded beef on fauxtatoes. Dinner was pepper steak with green peppers, onions, and tomatoes and fauxtatoes. Today will be a stretch. Breakfast was an omelet with a couple of servings of celery and onion, jalepenos, meat and cheese. Lunch will be cucumbers vinagrette and Mile-high shredded beef on the last of the fauxtatoes. Dinner will be grazing on assorted appetizers but no veggies, unless you count the green onions in the deviled eggs, or cocoa in the 3 minute chocolate cake. Come to think about it, cocoa is a dried crushed bean, isn't it? (lol). |

| uh...hdyhouse....that is stretching it just a tad! I'm gonna need to stretch myself here! I had a big dinner salad when we went out to eat this evening: topped with cheese and spicy shrimp...mmmmm! Oh, and can we count the pickles and onions on my cheeseburger? That's it for today! Me and the "salad dog" will be sure to have alot of salad tomorrow. (She loves it, crazy girl!)

| Today was a stretch too because of an inconvient mid-morning tee time. Breakfast was Maggies cereal with dried cranberries. "Lunch" was cucumbers vinagrette and some left-over appetizers from last night. Dinner was a large salad with lettuce, grape tomatoes, cucumber, green onions, and stuffed olives and a piece of deep dish pizza pizza-quiche with sausage, green pepper, onions, mushrooms, and ripe olives. |

| We were out and about all day. I stayed on plan, but did not include f's and v's in that plan. A few onions rings are not gonna stretch into 5 servings of anything. Oh, well!

| Maxi- eating on plan is more important. Breakfast was an omelet with a couple servings of celery and onions, jalepenos, meat and cheese. Lunch was a pig-out on the last of the cucumbers vinagrette (marinated with some Dave's Insanity) and some left-over smoked turkey roll-up appetizers. Dinner was green beans with tomatoes and onions, sweedish meatballs in sour cream/dill gravy over cauli-rice pilaf loaded with sauted mushrooms, onions and celery. |

| I was out of veggies (other than salad), except for canned. So I had a big (salmon)salad at lunch and another just green salad with dinner. But, I've been to the grocery store now, so I have some alternatives. Later!
