| Breakfast was 2 boiled eggs, 3 pc. bacon, some cheddar cheese, and an APPLE. Lunch was going to be a burger patty, but the microwave went missing. So, I had another APPLE and a can of L/C Slimfast. Dinner was what I could salvage out of an awful steak. It was a really bad cut....the ugly side was on the bottom! Oh, and I had a SALAD with it and the rest of the Carb Clever PEACHES from last night. (2 servings) There's my 5! Henry.....what's in the taco pie? That just SOUNDS good!

| Breakfast was Maggie's cereal w/dried cranberries.Lunch was a mixed lettuce salad w/cherry tomatoes, cucumber, green onions, and stuffed olives, a piece of taco pie, and 1/2 an apple. Dinner was an oven fried chicken breast, spaghetti squash w/chopped pecans, broccoli, and 1/2 a piece of Cheesecake Factory l/c cheesecake. Maxi, I was not able to find the recipe for taco pie that I got from an internet chat room. However, it was similar to the cheeseburger pie recipe here. So, since I was making a double recipe, I just took 4 lbs of ground turkey and browned it with garlic and onion and seasoned it with salt, crushed red pepper, chili powder and cumin. Spread 1/2 in a 9x13 casserole, added a layer of chopped green chilis, then the rest of the meat. Covered it with shredded 4 cheese mexican cheese, beat a dozen eggs and 1 cup of sour cream, poured over the meat and baked until done. I serve it with Pace Picante sauce.

| That sounds easy enough! Thanks. Yesterday, I had some raw veggies for snack and some fried onion type things for dinner. It was not a good day. I was on plan, but not much on F's and V's. Today I've had spinach in both my breakfast and lunch. Dinner will be at Luby's tonight. They always have a nice selection of veggies. I'll check back in later.

| Breakfast was Maggie's cereal w/dried cranberries. Lunch was a chopped steak w/sauteed mushrooms and green beans. Dinner was a LCE potluck with Kansas City area participants Kctinter, Bkloots, and Texanflowr. We started with appetizers of cheddar & cream cheese w/roasted red peppers on l/c crackers and stuffed mushrooms while we talked and got to know each other. We followed that with a spinach salad and broccoli cole slaw. The entree was shrimp in a chunky tomato cream sauce w/tomatoes, onion, green pepper, and celery served over a choice of Dreamfields linguini or cauliflower-rice. Dessert was Aunt Ruth's pecan cake w/whipped cream. Coffee was served with a chocolate-peanut butter truffle. It was a delightful get together.

| Wow, Henry! That sounds like fun! Carolyn and I have been talking about getting all us Texans together for a weekend or something. But the Lone Star State is quite large! I hope we can do it sometime next year. I had a small apple prior to meeting my friends at Luby's. I finished up the day with a small amount of fried okra and steamed broccoli. But.....let's just say my body didn't like it. Oh, well. At least I got my 5 today!

| Today I had cauli salad for lunch and dinner, also fruit salad with lunch and dinner. I'm estimating 6 servings. The cauli salad is made exactly the way I make potato salad. It's just WAY lower in carbs. This particular fruit salad was chopped: 4 small apples, 2 medium pears, a 16 oz. container of strawberries, and a can of Carb Clever peaches. Yummers. I made "topping" for it for DH with cream cheese, a cup of yogurt, and a little Splenda whipped together. (Gotta get rid of as much dairy as I can....I'm gonna try going dairy-free in November.)

| Had a great cauli and zuc soup last night and I cut up a page of Nori - it gave terrific flavour. Still into my large lunch salads with the lot - and still into my 2 fruits. Henry - that was a great shot of you and the gals - bet you all had a wonderful day! |

| Foxy, the party was a lot of fun. It was nice to meet some of the women, who until now were just "handles" on the internet. Breakfast was Maggie's cereal w/dried cranberries. Lunch was a lettuce salad w/chery tomatoes, cucumber, green onion, stuffed olives and a pork burrito w/onion, celery, green pepper, and jalepenos. Dinner was another salad with the same ingredients but a different dressing and shrimp in a chunky tomato cream sauce w/onion, green pepper, and tomato served over Dreamfields linguini.

| I had a pear with breakfast. At lunch, I had leftover cauli salad. Same thing with dinner. And fruit salad for dessert. I'm sure that was 5+ servings.
