Hey Noel - isn't it great to get to a stage where we can say 'this would be too much' and put it back!! How motivating! I was so pleased at lunch time today - I was busy at my and DH made the guacamole for lunch - he has NEVER done such a thing before! He says he too has more energy with this WOL - I don't think he was overweight before personally - but he wanted to do it too and he has trimmed down a bit I guess - but his energy was very low all the time - so it just proves how good this is!

Got my fruits and veggies in yesterday as usual - got to keep up the momentum!

I've been doing alright with my 5-a day - today has started out a little slow though - only cauliflower, and tiny amount of tomato. Dinner tonight will include a salad, and possibly fruit.

Breakfast was Maggie's cereal w/ strawberries. Lunch was 3 large lettuce leaves wrapped around cajun turkey breast. Dinner was a lettuce salad with grape tomatoes, cucumber, and stuffed olives, grilled steak, sauted mushrooms, and my first attempt at creating a low carb version of a Swiss hash brown potato dish called potatoes rosti, using daikon instead of potatoes. Celebrated the result with l/c vanilla ice cream w/ strawberries.

I am back with a vengeance! I was off plan for a couple of days and felt like the bottom of a boot for a while!

Today I had a big salad for "brunch", another salad, steamed broccoli, and three onion rings at dinner. This evening, I had 10 cherries, 2 strawberries, and 2 small plums.

I probably overdid it on the fruit, but better than overdoing it on junk food!

Definitely better, Maxibee. I was craving something sweet so I had a nice peach today and then four servings of broccoli. I haven't felt like cleaning the lettuce that's in the fridge but I have so much energy tonight that I think I will later.

Tomorrow I need to make the fresh zucchini that I have been craving. Mmmm.

To coin a good old Aussie phrase 'good on ya Maxibee!' I've been going for what I think you guys call 'Chard' and what I call 'Spinach' - small amount, finely shredded with some fresh basil, italian parsley and coriander instead of lettuce. Its very very yummy, especially with cherry red and yellow tomatoes (small serve only) and tiny amount of fetta cheese! I started doing it because I got tired of the lettuce or packets of baby asian salad leaves, (rocket, small chard, misuna lettuce etc) only lasting one day in the fridge. I LOATHE eating crummy food! I wish peaches were in season here Noel - you're making me want some!

Breakfast was sausage, l/c pancakes w/strawberries & whipped cream. Lunch was ham slices and cole slaw with cabbage, green onion, orange pepper, and carrots. (I made enough so that I will be having the cole slaw for lunch all week.) Dinner was grilled pork and a large spinach salad with mushrooms, bean sprouts, bacon, hard boiled eggs, and green onion.

Green beans, tomatoes, onions...I ate a lot of it...could have been five servings. Oh wait, I also had raw cauliflower and broccoli for a snack. So yes I did have five servings, at least.

Today just seemed like a fruit day - strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries - then bing cherries. oh, forgot, I did have spinach and artichoke hearts with dinner. I guess I did alright after all.

Yesterday was a decent veggie day with a really big salad at lunch and three servings of brussel sprouts at dinner.

I had a few cherries and strawberries with breakfast....I was just so hungry! For lunch, I had some leftover cauli salad and some more berries/cherries. Snack was a few radishes and a small apple. At dinner tonight, I polished off the cauli salad and had a green salad, too.
Wow! I did good today!
