Today is the last part of our journey to Christmas and grandchildren
Breakfast was a mixedfruit cup, sausage and scrambled eggs. Lunch was a double l/c whopper.
Until we leave Friday to return home, I will be at the tender mercies of my daughter-in-law for meals. However, she does try to fix low carb options for me, so I will be ok. Tonight, dinner was a lettuce salad, roast beef, and Dijonaise & cheddar crusted baked cauliflower.

Breakfast was a Chorizo omelet w/celery, onion, green pepper, and jalepenos. I still have kitchen priviledges, so lunch was some leftover pork, diced, sauteed with onion, celery, and jalepenos, seasoned w/chili powder and cumin and topped with some provolone. (You can't get that just anywhere.)
Dinner - Roast turkey, l/c cranberry relish, Dijonaise & cheddar crusted baked cauliflower, and green beans w/onion and bacon. Since it appears we are having a Thanksgiving theme for dinner tonight, before I put the turkey in the oven, I prepared a l/c pumpkin bake for dessert.

Friday was a strange travel day. We started early in 20 degree weather brushing snow off the car so we could start the long treck home from the northeast "snowburbs" of Cleveland. Drove through blinding rain for half of Indiana, followed by dense fog for the rest of Indiana and all of Illinois until we got within 10 miles of St. Louis when the fog lifted and we had overcast skies and 60+ degree temps until we got home some 15 hours after we started.
Breakfast in mid-Ohio was a couple of sausage & egg McMuffins w/o the muffin. Lunch outside Terre Haute was a side salad and a McDouble. Dinner in Columbia was a bacon wrapped fillet, grilled pork chop, steamed spinach, brussel sprouts, and cantaloupe for dessert (and a couple of cold l/c beers when we finally got home.)
