Five A Day: The COLOR way!

"5-A-Day Low Carb Club" at Low Carb Diet Support: "Today.......hmmmm.....does salsa at breakfast AND lunch added to a bit of cooked peppers even equal ONE serving? Yikes! If not, put me down for 1-2....some fruit salad tonight consisting of strawberries, a pear, an apple, ...."

I forgot about the cantaloupe, or that would've been in there, too!

Breakfast was the Tampa Marriott breakfast buffet with a couple of servings of strawberries, cantaloupe, and an omelet w/onion, green pepper, jalepenos and cheese. Lunch was a couple of smoked turkey & cheese rollups. Dinner was roast pork, curried cauli-rice pilaf w/onion & mushrooms, broccoli, and sliced strawberries for dessert.

A piece of cantaloupe, a small bowl of cauli/carrot/mayo salad, and another small bowl again later.

This went well with the pork ribs DH smoked on the grill. He has fantasies of "Being Bobby Flay". He won't admit it, but he practically hero worships the guy. He stayed up late last night to watch "Iron Chef" just because Bobby was on! LOL!

I made deviled eggs to go with it also. Love eating clean! And dairy free as much as possible.

Breakfast was Maggie's cereal w/strawberries. Lunch was a lettuce salad w/roma tomato, cucumber, green onion, and stuffed olives, and a piece of deep dish pizza quiche w/sausage, red bell pepper, onion, mushrooms, and ripe olives. Dinner was salmon poached in white wine, shirataki in a Welsh Rarebit cheese sauce, spinach florintine, and strawberries & cream for dessert.

Lunch was a lettuce salad w/roma tomato, cucumber, green onions, & stuffed olives, and a piece of deep dish pizza quiche w/sausage, red bell pepper, onion, mushrooms, and ripe olives. Dinner was salmon poached in white wine, shirataki w/Welsh Rarebit cheese sauce, snow peas and carrot, and strawberries & cream for dessert.
