Yesterday I ate poorly so today I'll be eating mainly veggies trying to flush out junk out of the system. So far its been brussel sprouts for breakfast with my tea . Yum!

My dil gave us some yellow squash, and I pan fried it last night for supper. So good.

I have a spaghetti squash I've been trying to get around to cooking; guess I'll do it tonight. And I have bell peppers I have to cook up, too. So I guess we'll have a little color for supper tonight. Lunch is anybody's guess. Maybe some broccoli and carrots.
I still don't eat much fruit; it tends to stall me, but I love berries and melon. I have to be very, very careful about portion control with fruit. I'm going to wait until I've lost a lot more to start adding apples or any other fruit.

I had some of the fruit salad for lunch, an apple on the way home (I may need to cut back on my fruit intake!), and some tomatoes in the V-8 turkey chili I made. I also had the most marvelous salad: Romaine lettuce, bacon bits, sliced avacado, and a few sauteed mushrooms topped with minimal Ranch dressing. Yummers, even without cheese!

fruit salad=2
apple=1 (very small)
tomatoes=1/2
lettuce=2
avacado=2

Too bad this doesn't count toward making up for yesterday!

Yesterday we had a casserole for lunch that had spinach, green beans, mushrooms and spaghetti squash in it. You couldn't tell it had the squash in it.

For supper I made a stir fry with yellow squash, zucchini, broccoli, green bell pepper and mushrooms, fried up with leftover chicken. There's enough left over for DH to have for lunch today.

Yesterday there was the usual 2 small apples, a big salad with dinner: more avacado on that. And some tomatoes and onion in the chili. Not a bad day....and colorful, too.

Today: apple, tomatoes and onions in chili, salad (no avacado this time). Not as good as yesterday, but so much better than the way I used to eat!

Where have I been? Tuesday I didn't do so good but Wednesday I had green onion, cucumber salad. Today I'm going to try endive in the salad which I heard is like a spicy onion. Sounds yummy! For fruit I had applesauce and will have two more servings of pineapple the rest of the day.

George Stella's cheesecake....MMMMMMM!

Today started out great: I had 2 eggs and 3 pieces of bacon rolled up in some thin sliced ham. Alot of protein, I know! But if I'm gonna forgo the tortilla, I have to have something to hold it with while I drive! I had a small apple, also.

Then, I had an assignment out of the office, so I was on the fly with nothing to eat but junk. I had a granola bar: DUDE! 28 grams of carbs! Yikes. I hope it doesn't hurt my 1 pound loss!

I was starving again by 1:00, so I got some sunflower kernels and washed them down with a Diet Coke. How sad is THAT?!

So, this evening for dinner I got out the hamburger meat and divided it. I made DH 2 patties and me some taco flavored meat. I put it on my salad with some avacado slices and a bit of Ranch dressing. It was good. NO dessert or fruit or anything. I'm trying to minimize the damage of the granola bar. Extra water, too.

So, I had the apple and some lettuce & avacado. I've had worse days for sure.

I took the core out of a green apple this morning and put in sugar twin brown sugar (zero calories) and a bit of cinnamon in the microwave for two minutes. It was yummy! For my next fruit I'm going to put pineapple and diet 7up in the blender and see how that goes. For dinner tonight I'll be eating the rest of my lettuce with salsa for dressing.

If you can count the lettuce and pickles on the cheeseburger innards I had for dinner....it would not even add up to one serving. And I forgot my apple this morning, too. :(

Here is one for you Maxibee!

Today I'll be having applesauce for breakfast (without added sugar of course), 2 servings of pineapple and for veggies I've got part of a cucumber left and will open up a new huge package of broccoli. That usually takes me a week to go through but I'll change off every few days and have brussel sprouts or mixed veggies.

Thursday I had a taco salad for lunch, which was somewhat stingy on the tomato, and it had 2 big rings of onion, and lots and lots and lots of lettuce.

For supper I had a ribeye steak with broccoli, green and red bell peppers, and onions and mushrooms. This was at a Chili's.

For lunch Friday, the only thing on the menu that looked remotely low carb was the grilled chicken breast salad. It had a lot of croutons that I had to pick off, some cucumber, about 3 slices, lots and lots of lettuce.

For supper the only thing on the menu that was low carb was the taco salad (yeah, again). I requested no chips. There were some chopped tomato, sliced black olives, a few chopped green onions, and lots and lots and lots of lettuce. I got in more lettuce in 2 days than I usually eat in 2 weeks.

Boy, I am so glad to be home! I think I'm going to go eat some real veggies.

I like to go on trips too, Nita...but I like coming home, too!

I've already had my apple, but thanks Heather!

When I was gathering up stuff to make omelets this morning, I saw the other half of my avacado. I'll be having that on a salad for lunch today! Yummers.

Today we had spinach and green beans with pork chops for lunch.
For supper we are having roasted brussels sprouts and some leftover chicken with veggies, zucchini, peppers, etc. For a snack we might have blueberries or strawberries, depends on my mood at the time.
