| I have been guilty of saying "I deserve" to eat something....so much so that I have let it bleed into my whole life....when life seems to feed me dirt...messes that need to be cleaned up... I would deserve to eat something I shouldn't...when I lost 40 lbs and was feeling great, I deserved to eat something I shouldn't, when dh and I are having argument after argument.... I would deserve to eat something I shouldn't... well as you can see just about anything I did ... I deserved to eat something I shouldn't. Eating all those I deserves had me gaining back the almost 50 lbs I had lost and gaining a few more (about 25 more to be exact) and for the first time in my "large" life, I felt "fat"... I was buying new clothes bigger than ever, and I deserved to eat something to help me deal with that .... There comes a point that we have to take responsibility for everything we do, not only in how we handle life, marriages, people around us, and the food we put in our bodies. Having heard and seen the writing on the wall (you aren't getting younger, or skinnier, ) I decided that I too deserve all those things that Goddess wrote in her reply above... I deserve to be healthy, I deserve to look and feel great To be happy with the choices I make Etc. etc. etc, but most of all I DESERVE TO BE THE ABSOULTE BEST I CAN BE.... I am on the road to "recovery" and anyone that wants to join me, see me in the 100 days no cheating challenge and we can help each other out. carolyn dance2

| Been there done that (and done it) All of your posts are excellent. I/m gonna print Goddess's list of REAL I deserves and stick it in my purse, on my desk at work, and in the car. ![]() ![]() I have been having some kind of issues with weight or carbs for 49 years now-- the swing from aneroxic to obese, and on and on.... I have decided this time that I have to treat carbs (especially sugar ) EXACTLY like the alcohol or the crack or the heroin. I am so glad some of you can eat a brownie and survive. For me its the equivilant of the sip of beer that sends an alcoholic on a weeklong bender. I am really trying to face the facts on this issue! I deserve to overcome this addiction and destruction!!! Thanks yall! |
