I'm curious to find out what supplements everyone is taking. Care to share? (the list, not the supplements! LOL!)

Ya got an hour?

Multiple w/o iron
Taurine Taurine's health benefits
Potassium
Chondroitin/Glucosamine Sulfate (for arthritis)
Vitamin C 1000 mg time release
Calcium/magnesium/zinc
Alfalfa (an all around tonic)
Chromium picolinate
Boron (for bone health) Boron information page. All about boron and the role it plays in your diet.
Folic acid
St. John's Wort for mild depression
Hawthorne (good for heart health) Hawthorn
Ginger (excellent for motion sickness and reducing inflammation)
Vitamin E
CoQ10
Vitamin D
Acidophilus
Fish Oil
Flaxseed Oil

I take these at lunch, and yes, I rattle when I walk!

I'm back in focus now, getting my appetite under control, sticking much closer to plan, not eating anything with carbs except veggies & cream in my coffee, and perhaps an occasional slice of cheese. Yesterday was good, and so is today. I'm in control!

sometimes fish oil and l-caratine, or different things depending on what issue has been coming up or what I've read about lately. when i'm having a tough time sleeping or my muscles are tense, it's a little kava kava before bed.

used to hit some fiber now and then as well, but since i started using fiberfit in my coffee iv daily, that would definitely be overkill!

I think I'm back in focus now, finally. I was out of control for 2 weeks, not abandoning low carb, just eating more stuff I should have not, like lc baked goods, the bran crackers, pnb, sf jelly, too much cheese, etc. It all added up, and knocked me completely out of control. I was eating stuff willy-nilly, not paying any attention. And it showed up with a nice gain on the scales. Yes, all that nice low carb food, eating to excess, accumulated the carbs, and I might as well have been eating cookies and cake.

I got back in focus and it's really helped. 5 lbs fell off, no doubt water weight, and then another 2. I'm stable, not craving sweets at all. I'm not even needing a OMM for a snack, which I used to do nearly every day.

All in all, I'm finding protein snacks to be of more use to me in controlling the cravings. A stick of string cheese, some pepperoni, some cold chicken or meatloaf, etc. Just a little of these will satisfy me, keep the craving monster at bay, and help me stay focused. I feel so much better, so much in control, and for a couple of weeks there, that just wasn't the case. I don't like that out-of-control mode at all.

And I really think that my thinking is clearer. (Well, as clear as can be for a person my age, with a brain full of work-related clutter!)

All in all, it is worth it to reevaluate your plan, see if you need to tweak something, and even give up something you dearly love, even if it is low carb, because if it's causing you problems, then you are not going to make any progress.

glad to hear it!

I am currently challenged because i have to cut down my portion size a little. I have never done well if I am hungry that is why it is good that i am lcing. The fat and protein keep you satisfied, but it doesn't seem to help me lose anything. So i am cutting my portion size just a little. Wish me luck. I know calories are less important then carbs but right now i think i need all the help i can get. Judy

OK, I'm back trying this focus thing - again.

This is what I'm going to do, and it's also posted in my next 100 day challenge.
Eat breakfast every day.
Drink at least 2 quarts of water every day.
Be more aware of portion sizes.

We have less than a month before our vacation, which will be a great low carb challenge (ever tried eating low carb in an airport?!) All we can do is make the wisest choices available, and if all that's available is carbs, then I'll just have to nibble & taste, and eat when I can get to some real low carb food. That's my plan, anyway.

Thanks, Judy.

So far it's working. I've lost 1.25 lbs since Sunday. I've put everything into Fitday, and my net carbs are very low, my calories are low to moderate. And I've been trying to exercise at least 3 times a week. So far, I've been able to do 1 mile on my Gazelle, and it's taking less time each workout to reach the mile, so I know it's a more effective workout. Just gotta be careful with the knees. Anyhow, so far so good.
