Kitty Breakfast

I have read over and over again where we are supposed to eat breakfast. I have never in my life been a breakfast eater.. and in fact I gag at the thought of food before noon. I have tried eating something in the morning, but then it seems to trigger my cravngs for more food. If I wait until about noon, and eat a nice burger in a revolution roll with a salad on the side, then I am content until dinner time. I drink lots of water all the time.. low carbing or not.. I just love water, period. I drink one mug of coffee with creamer and splenda and that is it for coffee..

Anyone else feel this way? Or am I a plain ol weird lady.

Nope, Katkins, you aren't weird. For years I did not eat breakfast. I still sometimes have trouble figuring out what will appeal to me. Sometimes I just throw up my hands and drink my coffee.

If you aren't starving, or overeating in the evening, not craving anything, and it's working for you, then continue with your routine.

BTW, I personally like breakfast if someone else cooks it, but my dh is not a cook, so there's no chance that happening!

kat, you might want to check out the challenges- the breakfast challenge and the no eats after supper challenge folks seem to have concluded that the desire for breakfast is more likely when you don't eat at night. don't know if you're happy with your practices now or not, but if you are looking to try something different, that would be the place to check.

i sometimes have a hard time eating breakfast, although i make more of an effort than i used to. but i blame it on the coffee iv i have throughout the day (along with my water, of course).

One thing I've heard is that eating breakfast actually increases overall calorie burn, because it gets your metabolism going earlier in the morning. I can't say personally, because I'm one of those oddballs (apparently) who likes breakfast. It's actually my favorite meal of the day!

Me too Aderyn-I've read that some people do eat their largest meal at breakfast and lesser amounts for the 2 other meals. I've found that I eat less during the day if I have a decent breakfast. Interesting how some people just can't face food early in the morning-I'm ready for food anytime, anyplace. You betcha.

Adele Davis used to say to eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and supper like a pauper. However, I still don't like a big breakfast, it makes me sluggish during the morning. Just some good protein, and my usual cup of decaf.

I have really made an effort to eat a brekky.... So.. with than plan I decided to eat at about 10:30 or so... and I have a nice Breakfast Sausage and Egg sandwich made with a Rev. Roll. I sprinkle on a bit of grated cheddar and I am now eating breakfast. But I don't want to eat lunch... okay it is too early now for lunch... so I just eat a serving of Macadamia nuts, and I am good to go till supper. It is not officially breakfast I guess , but it is the best I can do right now.

My mom always says that breakfast gives your body fuel to get going. Even if it is small, don't skip...it is much healthier to begin the day with some sort of protien! The benefits stated below make perfect sense. Try a serving of nuts with your coffee or an OMM (my new favorite thing in the entire universe!) I am up by six and the first thing I do is eat my breakfast. Maybe planning it the night before will help. I had the cup and baking powder on the counter this morning ready for my muffin. It helps.

Blessings!

i also find if i eat at least a little in the mornings, i'm a lot more likely to take my vitamins, which make me a touch queasy on an empty tummy.

I'm not big on breakfast either. I eat when I'm hungry, and I'm rarely hungry before 11am.
