    Default back to induction

I've been on the LC lifestyle for over 5 years now, I started out at 269 and got as low as 228. While I manage to stay LC the best I can I've strayed a bit lately and have gone back up to 245. I usually fluctuate between 235-240 so it's definitely time for some induction! Check out this progress, even I'm amazed.

Monday. 6/23: 245.5, feeling bloated after a weekend of bad food and a lot of boozin!

Tues: Already down to 242.5, probably mostly water coming off so far.

Wed: Down to 239 after 2 full days of very strict induction. I'm feeling good but I'm surprised it's working this well so quickly.

Thurs: Down to 236.5, wow down 9 pounds already!

My goal is to do 30 days of strict induction, I'm not setting a weight goal I just want to make it for the 30 days and take it from there. I'm going to allow myself one minor cheat per week (trying to be good 100% of the time just doesn't work for me). I also work out 3-4 days per week at the gym where I do at least 30 minutes of cardio or weight training.

So anyway, I'm back on induction and feeling great about it!! I'll give more updates as I go.

Welcome back Matty. Congratulations on the loss so far. Is there one type of food that you feel the need to "cheat" with?

I'm a salty snack kind of guy, chips, nuts, crackers, that sort of thing. I like sweets but I have no problem saying no to them.

    I am a salty snack guy too. Here is a link to a recipe for a crunchy cracker I make with great frequency;
    Crackers

I make a double batch of these and keep them in a glass cookie jar where they keep for weeks/months and are readily available when I feel the need for a crunch. My latest favorite is to use a combination of dark chili powder, chipolte chili powder, and habanero chili powder. This produces a cracker with a decided "kick" that I eat either straight or use dip things like egg or ham salad. I used to also put a little dab of peanut butter on them, but I found I could not control/ limit myself when I did that as I have come to recognize that I have an addiction to nuts.

Sounds good I might have to give those a try.

I usually eat wasa crackers when I need some crunch but they're pretty bland on their own.

Im a low carb gal....after 4 children/on steroids while pregnant, I went up to 289. I lost with atkins and pilates and went down to 105(underweight,I know). Then Docs gave me steroids and in 1 1/2 mos, i went to 170 and at the end...ended up at 223 in one year. I am off steroids, am back on induction and doing winsor pilates...have lost 3 inches on my waist in 1 1/2 weeks...i am so impatient and have trouble eating as often as i am supposed to because, although i know better, it makes me feel fat...ahhh...thank the gods for this forum...

Congrats on your progress, Matty! That's wonderful.

Welcome, Alice. Sorry to hear you've had a rough time. Please do remember that people tend to do the best when they follow a specific low carb plan (and get the book to go with the plan), and when the DO eat as much and as often as their plan recommends.

The challenge is often emotional as much or more than it is physical. So keep working on the "eating is bad" though loop, because it's not. And a person is not better or worse based on what's atop their dinner plate.

    Peace out.

Up 3 today but I'm pretty sure it's due to having too much salt yesterday, plus it's been pretty hot and humid where I am so I can tell I'm holding onto some water. I woke up thirsty as heck this morning. The plan is plenty of water today plus I'm hitting the gym for some cardio.

    Grrr-Arrrgh...

I am not losing enough, it seems....I exercise everyday....I dont know what to do! It is making me feel like crap and I know I cannot do the Fat Fast yet because it is too early in the game for that. I just ordered keto strips, so maybe that will help me perk up a bit!
