Alice, at the risk of becoming a nag, I'd really love to see you up your carbs to at least 25 a day with the amount of exercise you do. From my observation, people who restrict their carbs more than suggested and exercise a great deal tend to feel worse and generally have more trouble losing anyway than those who follow their selected lc plan explicitly. And just a side note: if the overall trend is where you want to go, then it is always "fast enough." (Yes, I know not fast enough to suit us. But that's how it works.) Please be patient, because patient low carbers are rewarded.

Pia, welcome back to your low carbing!

No, I do not feel like you are being a nag at all!!! I am trying to up my carbs, part of the issue is the heat...yesterday I went hiking for 3 hours and trust me, tried to eat, but ended up drinking a lot of water and an Atkins shake...the end being a 12 carb day and I felt like crap today until I ate!!! I know I have to eat more to lose more, I know. My ketone strips are only showing a small trace of ketones, which tells me I am probably not eating enough fat in general. I also ran out of supplements which is awful ( I am a vitamin freak!) Tomorrow, I am getting all of my blood work done and perhaps I can get some Bok Choy and broccoli to help up my carb intake. Thanks a lot Goddess, I really do appreciate your help, advice and support! We all need it, some more than most!

Thanks, by the way! Even exercising for 20 minutes a day will get your energy up (even if you feel like a** befor that!)

Sunday....I play Soccer with a bunch of 7 year olds and then take them on a couple nature walks!!!! They are gonna give me more than Pilates ever would!!! LOL

Got on the scale this morning, down to 228! I have lost 12lbs in a little over 2weeks! I only worked out for 45 minutes 3 days this week, but that was better than nothing. I am working a catering job tomorrow so I have to stay motivated and stear clear of the junk. Hope everyone has a happy lowcarbing weekend!

Thanks Maggie and Aliceinwonderland!
I am down to 227 this morning! That is 13lbs in 3weeks! I may not be losing as much as I did when I first started this way of eating years before but I am very happy with these results. I felt energized when I woke up this morning too! Gotta love low carb!

Hello! Well, I taped myself yesterday and here it goes,
- 41/2 bust
-2 1/4 waist
-1 1/2 hips
-1 3/4 upper arms
-7 thighs
-1/2 calves
Blah. Didnt weigh myself because i have decided against it.
Also, does anyone know if Bee Pollen carbs affect weight loss? It says it is 35 percent protein, 55 percent carbs...It has so many benefits, but i wont take it if it is bad carbs.
Thanks!

Well, I did not do too good this weekend. Cheated Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday. I am up to 229.5 this morning. I am back on track today. I am not going to beat myself up to hard about it. I know what I did was wrong, but I also know I am in this for the long haul. Hope everyone had a better low carb weekend than me!

sorry to hear you had a rough weekend, amber, eating-wise.

when you do eat offplan, the best thing to do is refocus right away and don't let it drag out with the ol' "well, i've already blown it today, so i'll restart tomorrow/next week/whatever." and never beat yourself up about it, because it doesn't help. just keep on moving forward, lady.

Thanks Goddess! I let those carbs take control of me again. It was the nights that got me. I am super motivated now tho. I know this is a life long change and I fell down but I am definitley gonna pick myself back up again. Can't let myself go like I did last time. I feel so much better eating this way. Even my nails are growing again! Coming to this website is very encouranging and helps tremendously.

Alice, I just saw your post concerning bee pollen. Here is a link to an article that discucsses the false claims made about bee pollen and the health risks associated with it.
Bee Pollen and Royal Jelly

I was not able to find any nutritional information on bee pollen. However, if you chose to try it, unless you know how much of the carb content is fiber, I would count all of the carb content.

Just got back from working out. I even kicked it up a notch by walking 2miles and doing 1.5miles on the bike. I have been walking 2miles and doing 1mile on the bike. I am getting back on track. I did good eating on plan yesterday even tho I was craving carbs last night since I cheated over the weekend. Just gonna take it one day at a time! Now off to eat my salad!

I am so glad I found this place. It is so nice to know that other people struggle with the same things that I do. I have a hard time in the mornings. It is best I just pack my lunch and go off to work. I can only eat what I take with me. Weekend are very hard for me. I know I will feel better ifI stick with it. Thanks everyone for being here.
