Small Booths, Small Victories.

Oops, accidentally ommited BOOTHS. The problem is the BOOTHS, or rather my bloated, belly fat packed stomach. Dang, I actually fit into a booth with out lubricants and humiliation!!! Woo Hoo Hoo

Small Victories!!!!

I have a six year old son, so I have become one of those "Chucky Cheese" mama. Everybody from Granma to T ball to Birthday Parties wants to go to Chucky Cheese. I've gotten used to the noise, the chaos, and Gramma screaming "YES!! WOO HOO" when she hits it on "Flaming Finger":... but the Everytime I have to figure how to get my big fat tummy into one without looking like a an elephant seal in an airplane seat. . Three weeks ago: the usual humiliation....

Low Carb Cookbooks

I am SO psyched today!! I received two books from paperbackswap that have been on my wish list ever since I started eating low carbs. Two on the same day from the same person. My name must have come to the top of the wish list just in time and she listed both of them. So I'll stop keeping you in suspense and tell you the books I got......

The first one is George Stella's Livin' Low Carb : Family Recipes Stella Style and it looks great! In new condition. Makes me wonder about...

Bad Year For My Garden

Been pretty busy this summer so far. My garden is not doing as well as it should be. Our area has a late tomato blight that is affecting tomato and potato plants in our area. Hasn't affected mine yet. But since we have not been getting a lot of sun the tomato and pepper plants have not done well at all. Even my green bean plants which by this time every year have been feeding us daily have not even had one bean on them!!!! I am not happy about this at all. I figure it is to be expected as you cannot...

Lettuce And Greens - A Low Carb Favorite

I am getting lettuce and greens from my garden daily now. Love them! Makes the ones in the plastic bags in the stores look so sick. Not to mention tasteless. Lots of people like them though. I am going to do my best this year to get some started for my winter garden. You should be able to grow greens all winter in a cold frame. After all they are a cold weather crop.

Lettuce and greens are about the easiest plants to grow. So even if you have never gardened before you can easily do...
