When people find out that I have lost 150 pounds many questions come up but one worries me "didn't you ever cheat?" What!?! This question is worrisome because this person is that all or nothing person I used to be. That is how I got up to nearly 300 pounds. This is a battle that is worth fighting everyday for and not just until I eat a cookie. What is the point then because I am not perfect. Setbacks need to be learned from and we grow by them. I do what someone may call cheat. Heck I binge!! I eat a ton of junk food in a moment of weakness but you know what? To love is to forgive and I need to love myself even when I am weak.

:clock:Everyday I wake up knowing that I need to take care of what God gave me. Not on Monday, the beginning of the month, just until I can look good for a special day or January 1st but EVERYDAY. It was that moment when I realized that healthy eating was a permanent part of my life and that this wasn't just until I failed again. There is no such thing as failure unless you give up. Everyday I need to love myself. I'm worth it.:samurai:

What?!? Did I say that? Yes! For this food obsessed lady I'm realizing that indulging doesn't have to always be about food. I can indulge in things that make me feel good. I'm a girlie girl, as my niece calls me, and I love beauty supplies. Indulging in things that make me feel pretty. It doesn't have to cost me a fortune. Today I bought a flat iron at Salvation Army for $3.95 so I could do something new with my hair. I bought lotion to turn these white legs into something that won't cause car accidents with their blinding whiteness. And right now? I'm ready to indulge in a nice bath with some salts before the kids come home from school. So I dare others to find their own way to indulge that will make you feel wonderful for more then a moment of what junk food can.:grouphug:

I was gifted an extra 2 months on the end of my maintenance program so I didn't eat so well during the holidays. Now I have just enough time to lose 2 pounds per week to be eligible for my rebate which is doable if I work hard right? Yesterday a couple of gals were asking me when my rebate was due and how close I was. I let them know and they went on and on about how I wouldn't be able to do it because those last 5 pounds were going to stick like glue. I kept interrupting, trying to keep positive, letting them know if I eat right and continue my exercise I could do it. It didn't take more then a few minutes of their negativity that at the grocery store an hour later I bought junk and came home to eat it upset. Today? I'm ready to show them!! Bet they would be unhappy to know that I'm using them as motivation to get to goal by that time just to show them. I noticed on Biggest Loser they have homework at night of exercise after exercising during the morning. I'm betting this is to boost metabolism to lose those big #'s. I'm not wanting to burn out so just a little 30 minutes on the elliptical should be enough to guarantee my 2 pounds if I do my morning walk and afternoon weight training. For weight training I do 30 minutes upper body and then the next day 30 minutes of lower body with my thigh master and a book I have. If I get that 2 pounds on Saturday weigh in I'll gift myself to a Sunday off day with the exception of making sure I have 10,000 on my pedometer that day. Here is to using anything to motivate!

DO YOU WANT TO BE SKINNY OR DO YOU WANT TO EAT THIS JUNK????" That was two days ago and I can't believe how many times I've yelled at myself since. Whatever works!

The little girl I babysits Grandma sent treats and the kids didn't finish them. I've never been able to eat 1/2 of anything, I'm all about finishing what I take. I could have saved the remains for the kids but tossed it out in fear I would go back for them. If I can just get through this temptation this moment, and then just today......one day at a time. I can get through anything just today right?

I'm a bit tired which I'm wondering is from going from 3 pots of coffee down to zero. I do hate having to rely on something to get a fix so this might be a blessing in disguise. I love coffee so this is hard but my DH is being so supportive despite me working hard not to be crabby. He answered many times today that he wasn't crabby so must have been just me.
Day 5 on plan.

I've made it my hardest days....the 1st four! Now it's onto the 1st weekend on plan. The house is stocked with food for the whole family so we should be set!

I bought myself a new motivation workout piece...a walking vest!! It said while researching that it'll trick my body into thinking it's heavier so I'll be able to increase strength and burn more calories. Have to like that!! Hoping that the scale shows the hard work it takes to lug around an extra 10 pounds. Why does this pack seem heavier then when I gain it back from eating junk food? I once wore 15 of these extra on my current body weight. I'd never manage wearing it in vests but wearing it on my body was one of the reasons I was so tired all the time. Seemed like my life was eat, sleep and clean back then. With out all that I have so much energy and I smile!! I feel good to get out of bed in the morning.

Well, tomorrow is weigh in day at LA Weight loss after the holidays have officially ended. Ugh! It's good for me to face the scale and hope to not be to far away from the 10 pounds away from the high end of my signature weight I have now.

Just love the start of the New Year! All the remaining holiday junk food left with DH to his work for his coworkers to munch on. I baked enough for Christmas that DH took 1/2 while the rest went to the freezer for him to take today. I'm sure a lot of people were up late last night and then working early. I've seen thin people there so I'm sure not everyone is wanting to be slim for their resolution. Oops, hopefully I didn't break some one's resolution right off!

Although I'm not a night person I stayed up until midnight to kiss my DH and get a kiss on the cheek by our 8 year old son Jay. Charlie, age 3 had been asleep for about an hour. We had a great evening occupying our time playing Rock Band which DH had bought us for Christmas. I did vocals, Jay bass and DH guitar. Now we just need someone to do the drums that come with the game and we'll be set. :)

Off to a great start with bible study, 30 minutes on the elliptical, healthy eating and now a bit of walking on the treadmill. Today's plan will be to clean me & house up, play rock band with ds since he asked (which Charlie pretends to sing or bang on the drums), do weight training and then watch Biggest Loser tonight.
