  1. I think I'm in trouble

    I am really stressed out today. I have been doing so well and tomorrow will be a month on the plan. Today I feel like eating everything not on the plan. I am fantasizing about chocolate and ice cream, and this is the first time this has happened to me. And my thinking is negative--I keep telling myself, "what if this isn't working?"   2. low thyroid function

    Well, this way of eating is becoming a part of my life now. I can't believe it is almost three weeks.
    I have a question for anyone who may know about supplements to take to support the thyroid. My blood tests have been normal for thyroid, but my doctor thinks my thyroid is underactive still based on all of my classic symptoms. She tried me on cytomel (t3) a couple of times and I had an allergic reaction to it. I am looking for a supplement that is safe that may help because she thinks ...

  3. Sharing a difficult day...

    Well, the hemp protein tasted pretty bad. I felt like a horse because it tasted like grass. I could handle the taste, but I think it made me hungry. I felt ravenous all day today, the first time since I started the lc plan. It was kind of scary to be so hungry, but I didn't go off of my plan. My eating was disordered because I was busy with my family and didn't get a chance to sit down once to have a nice meal. On the go eating makes me feel like I didn't even eat.   4. Success on 14th day!

    I weighed myself this morning for the first time since I stared plan. I lost 6 lbs in 12 days. I'm on my 14th day but didn't weigh myself at the very beginning. I had a doctor's appt. today and her scale showed I lost 10 lbs. I am still going by my own scale, but I am really excited. This is working and I am actually enjoying my meals. I never thought I could lose weight while eating foods that taste good. I'm so happy I have embraced a low carb way of life and I am so happy to have found ...

    I like to drink protein shakes in the morning and have been using whey or egg white protein with only 1-2 carbs per serving. I came across raw hemp seed protein. It has 9 total carbs, but 8 grams of fiber. I am in induction still and want to know if anyone has any feedback about this. Should I be subtracting fiber from carbs if they are that high this early in the program? I am concerned it may slow down weight loss. I am on day 13.
