Peace with food...

I just wanted to say that I love lce. I had about a week of going on and off plan and was really stuggling with emotional eating. I learned some very important things--I feel like crap when I eat sugary, floury, carby foods, and the lc woe really works. After 2 days of being back on plan consistently, I realized just how good I feel when I eat this way. And I believe I am finally making peace with food. It doesn't have power over me anymore. I needed my off plan week to give me confirmation information that I can make food choices to nurture myself and the consequences of that are so positive that they outway any gratification I may get from downing a half a gallon of ice cream. I don't need to do that anymore, and if I decide I do want to do that again, I don't have to shame myself or think I blew it. I just need to keep getting back into the swing of things. I am so happy I found this website because it keeps me coming back!

    Good for you cinnamin. There is an interesting article in the current issue of Natural Health magazine about emotional eating and how to deal with it. I would reccomend you check it out. Maybe your library may have it. It is in the December/January issue. Good read!

    Thanks LucyB. I will read that article in Natural Health. I used to love reading that magazine so I will go to the library and see if they have it.

    Hello cinnamin I To am a emotional eater. Happy sad glad bad whatever. I to feel great when Im eating L C, but sometimes I almost get on a high Which I have to watch cause if i go off it I can get very low and pissed off with myself,its finding that happy medium and putting food in its right place and dealing with my emotions without food.
