| | if you're doing atkins, then DANDR (dr. atkins new diet revolution) is a must in some form or another, and Good Calories/Bad Calories by Gary Taubes is also highly recommended as an outstanding intro to the ins and outs of LC. (Still have to get that one msyelf!) |

| | I got my copy of DANDR at WalMart, cost me about $6. You can probably find it a Amazon, too. Don't forget to use the link from this site! Gary Taubes' book is good, it's just huge, and a lot of heavy reading. I'm about a third of the way through it, just haven't had time to sit down and read all of it. But it's excellent so far. You can also go to Dr. Bernstein's website and read his book online. It's devoted to diabetes, but there is a lot of good info for low carbing in general, too. http://www.diabetes-normalsugars.com/ Just click on the link to read it online. I don't think you can get the recipe chapters online, but the rest of the book is fascinating reading, how he has controlled his Type-1 diabetes with a low carb diet. Hope this helps! |
