Two Weeks Down and a New Home

Posted 08-20-2008 at 08:51 AM by ConnieD53

Wow, I'm so hyped. Two weeks down and 10 pounds lost. I thought about going into OWL but I was so satisfied with what I ate on induction that I'll just play around with between 20 and 25 carbs. I'm actually a bit scared to add more carbs, afraid it will stop my weight loss altogether or actually cause me to crave more things.

I think I am becoming addicted to bacon, though. Yummy to just eat, and delicious in a salad.

I have to confess that I played around on another low carb site the last couple days. It wasn't nearly as friendly and helpful. I almost felt like I didn't exist. Soooo. . . . this is my new low carb HOME!

glad you feel welcome here, connie! i checked out several sites when i went looking for my own lc home as well, and this one was the friendliest. but a lot of our members do belong to more than one site. i don't mind as long as they still visit us!! i'm just glad there are so many more resources out there now for people to lc than there used to be.

it's also really common for folks to feel anxious when it's time to start adding in carbs. it just takes a while to learn how your bod responds and all. also, if you get hit with cravings, look at whatever food you've added recently. lots of times, the lc specialty products can be the culprit, or maybe a particular type of food (very sweet, especially bready, etc.). it's totally a process.

you keep right on truckin', lady!
