Today will be my first day in 2008 at the gym. I'm getting myself mentally prepared for it. As in previous years, the month of January proves to be the most challenging at the gym. There is a major influx of those that make health resolutions. It has been standing room only for use of the machines every January for the past many many years.

This is a short term inconvenience. Somewhere about late February many of the resolution people go back to their normal habits and it becomes life as usual at the gym.
I recall a joke- A man is signed up and paying monthly dues to the gym. He hasn't gone all year. When he decides to go in January for his New Year's resolution, he ask laughs at the desk clerk. "What do you call people like me that don't show up but once in a while?" The clerk responds "
profit."
This is the time of year that the Fitness Centers make the biggest amount of money.
In contrast, last week the gym was so quiet you could hear crickets chirping. dance2
Now for my resolutions...
They are posted up in my Journal. Go look them up there.
I can assure you of one thing. I will be continuing my program long after February.
