...i know), I am tired, tired of being fat, tired of comments, just a lot...then TOM showed up and it made a little more sense, but still didn't make me feel better. Had a terrible migraine this morning - started seeing the colors, hazy vision, disoriented, nausea, and I knew what was coming. Batten down the hatches and ride out the storm. No light, no noise, and sleep for a few hours. Migraines really take a lot out of you, and I still feel like I'm out of it. I don't really like to take pills, I used to get migraines regularly in school, but started making food changes and that helped A LOT. I know that cheese is a trigger, I LOVE cheese - but it looks like I will have to cut that out too, which I will really miss.| | Hang in there, honey. Sounds like you're suffering from a whopping case of PMS and TOM. Put the migraine on top of that, and no wonder you're way, way down. I was at your weight at one time, actually I was just under 350, I've lost in the neighborhood of 75 to 80 lbs, and I've sat at this point for a few years, just can't seem to get beyond it. However, as much as I'd like to be much, much thinner, it doesn't seem to be happening, and I'm not worrying about it, because I feel so much healthier now. Remember that you can stick to this way of eating for the rest of your life. You'll be healthier just due to eating better. BTW, ditch the bars. See if you can find a substitute for them. Check the recipe sections here for ideas on things you can do that are better for you. Keep on coming back here, too. Here is the best place to get encouragement from others who are in the same boat as you. It's really a long, hard process, but well worth it! |

| | Sorry to hear you're having a hard time...it sounds like everything is kind of all getting mixed up together for you...stress, tom, migraines, changes in your eating, dissatisfaction with your weightloss, life, on and on...one thing at a time is more managable. Incidently, I know you don't want to hear this, but the bars are most likely responsible for the weight gain. Junk food is still junk food even when it says Atkins on the box. I think your nickname for it was a good one. Regarding the surgery, of course if you decide to go that route, then it's certainly an option. But I'd hate to see you think it would just make all the challenges disappear, too, because it doesn't. You still have to make changes to your eating and routine to maintain the progress surgery helps you with, so either way, finding your eating zen is crucial. Please do try to take good care of yourself, mentally and physically as much as possible. That will make everything else easier. ![]() |
