I Am Motivated!

Ever since I found this site I can't wait to come here. I work at home on my computer and should be working at that but this site keeps me motivated. That is especially essential for me since I am in the beginning phase of my LCE plan. The recipes are awesome! I know I said that I do not like to go anywhere........and especially a restaurant! But that is exactly where I have to go tomorrow. I have been helping a friend of our's plan his wife's 40th birthday party. It will be at a diner near their home and she will think he is taking her out for her birthday. He is paying everyone's bill and I am keeping my fingers crossed that they serve meat or at least eggs. They are both vegetarians and hopefully the diner is just a regular diner. I have decided when it comes time for the birthday cake, I will slip it onto my husband's dish when nobody is looking. My husband will like that! I do not want to mention to anyone but my husband that I am on any kind of diet. That will jinx it for me. Two of the people in my homesteading group who will be at the party tomorrow have followed this very same diet but never stay on it. So I do not want them to know what I am doing. Then when my weight goes down and they see me in the spring.....they will be surprised when I tell them I lost it using their diet!
I have been feeling good on this plan so far. I am not starving in between. One thing I realize is that we have had tight times the last few years and that limits what I can spend on food. So I end up fixing lots of pasta, potatoes (I grew close to 300# of them myself!), rice, beans.....cheap food. Many people will tell you those foods are good for you......yes, they fill you up. Now, I feel like I need to spend that same money on less food, but better quality. I am also planning my spring garden right now. Purchasing the seeds I need. This time part of my planning for the garden will be how many carbs the vegetables have. I am looking forward to a LC garden!
