I am pschyed! My first week on this LCE plan is successful. Now in the past I have been on the various diets, but low calorie, low fat. I went to Weight Watchers and Diet Workshop off and on through the years. I have always weighted more than I should and you can't hide it when you are five foot two. Never on any diet or ever in my life did I lose 12 pounds.......yes, you heard me right.......12 pounds in ONE WEEK! I did this time, and I wasn't even hungry the whole time. Wow, is all I can say!!!

This is without starting my exercise program either. I am thinking most of it was water weight, but I don't care.....I like seeing those numbers on the scale go down. At first I thought I was reading it wrong and had to get my glasses.

Now......my husband who loves to eat sweets and stuff like that is saying he wants to follow it but with more carbs. I am eating only 20 as I am on Induction. So that means we can get rid of the sugar in the house. I plan on ordering the syrups so I can make some of the desserts when I reach that part of the plan.

Last night I made us omlets for supper. And made him a pumpkin pudding (pumpkin pie without the crust) and whipped topping to use up the ingredients which was in the pantry. I did not taste it while I was making it. Nor did I lick the beaters, which is something I always do. And at the time I was hungry. I stuck them in dishwater as soon as I got done using them.

I didn't tell him, but in 2003 I had gone to a allopathic doctor and he told me I should lose weight. And I had gained more since then because back then I was able to walk and do my outside chores. Now I am hopeful that this means I will gain more use of my legs.

I want to add here that this forum and the blogs and recipes have been a major help to me. I work on my computer and can have this site up while I am working. So I studied all the older threads, blogs and the recipes and that has been helping me alot. Thank you for this wonderful site!!

Today we are having a major snow storm here and I am still in a great mood as nothing can ruin the mood I am in due to my success on this plan.

I love you Doctor Atkins!!!!

Congrats!!!! Great Job on your first week. I too know the feeling of losing a lot of weight the first week on a program and I couldn't believe it either. I had to get off and then back on the scale again just to make sure. Keep up the great job and stay motivated. Thanks for motivating me on my first day of l/c eating.

Didn't take long for hte hubby to get on board, huh? That's wonderful news and will make it so much easier. Hard to be tempted by what's not in the house.
