My journal of following the LCE plan.
What I am Learning In My Second Week

I have been very busy with my work for the last few days. Even if it is a holiday, I usually end up working since I work at home. So we just have our own dinner here and don't go out or go to someone's house for a big meal. That has been very good for me during this Induction phase of my LCE plan. In Dr. Atkins' book he said that after 3 days you wouldn't crave the highly refined carbs you were eating before. He seems to be right on that. Today my husband bought a bag of Doritios to eat with his burgers and I had no interest in it......and I was hungry. I was cooking the burgers and we hadn't eaten since we had to go to my son's early this morning to take him his tables that he left here. I did take a piece of cheese. I don't plan on doing that again. Do not skip breakfast! Of course I had run out of eggs and had to pick some up so I skipped breakfast. Better planning is needed there. I have already noticed a difference in the way I feel. I used to have trouble laying down at night to go to sleep. I'd be very tired and would lay down and then my chest would hurt, or my arms, or my shoulders, or stomach and then it was my back......and that is not counting my knees that hurt all the time anyway. It was horrible. I'd fall asleep sitting up and wake up with a stiff neck. I'd imagine I was dying of something. I also would have those other problems....you know, constipation. Well, not only did I lose that 12 lbs. the first week.....but all of those problems but the knee pain is history. All gone! I feel good. And all the time it was something as simple as changing the way I ate.
